I'm getting another Ford Fiesta but a 1.4 this time which will help with my fuel costs and it's in Hot Magenta (pink!! :j ) so that has cost me another £150 on top. Maybe I should have gone for another colour but the lure of a pink car was just too great. The car costs £200 which hopefully I will get back from Motability.
I owe my uncle another £100 and then he is paid off. Can pay him that from my wages but it's just the £350 that I'm having problems with. I have around 30 days to find the money. That's around £11.70 a day to find. But obviously it has to pay out in time.0 -
So basically all going well you need a short term loan of £200 til you get the bonus, & need to concentrate on finding £150?I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. I guess but not really sure who can lend me the £200 as I still owe my mum money, have only just paid my sister back and will have only just paid my uncle back. Don't really want to go cap in hand to any of them again and don't have anyone else to ask. My credit rating is shot to bits so can't get a proper loan from anywhere.0 -
Hi everyone
Was busy yesterday getting all my Avon books ready for delivering again. I put out 107 books this morning so fingers crossed I get loads of orders.
I've been looking after my niece since then so haven't had chance to do anything else.
Regarding my car money, I did think that I could do a carboot or 2 before the 18th April. I don't have much to sell though so would have to see if I could get some stuff from Freecycle (carbooting lots) beforehand. I guess I could get £50-£100 of the money with that.
No other ideas yet though.

Thank you, just hope I will be able to get the money for it. I know I should have been saving but to be honest it is so difficult to pay for my rent, debts, bills, food etc on my own that there is always something to swallow any money that I manage to save.0 -
I so know the feeling hun.

Ok, so I have faced the fact that I am highly unlikely to be able to get the full £350 for my car before I'm due to pick it up.
However, if I can just get as much as I can together before then, I won't need to ask my family to borrow too much and I would be able to give it back to them as soon as the bonus from Motability comes through (£200).
So at least £150 would be fantastic. So there are 29 days to go before I think my car will be ready (could be a bit longer than that).
So far I have got the plan of doing 1-2 carboots at the beginning of April if I can get together enough stuff. This should get me at least £50.
Hopefully Avon will get me some money too in time. I am hoping for £50 but am not doing that well at the moment so will have to wait to see what orders I get on Monday.
So have possibly got £100 sorted.
Going to put some washing on the line then head to my mum's I think to see my niece.
Have a good day everyone

I just thought that if I can spend the absolute minimum before I get my car, I may have some spare money to put towards it.
The things I need before then are:- Food for lunch/during the day at work and food for the weekends (I eat a lot of my main meals at my mum's)
- 2 Easter eggs for sister and BIL (already have my niece's
)
- a pair of shoes for work (I only have 2 pairs of sandals, a pair of trainers and a pair of boots so need something inbetween for when it's too hot for boots and too cold for sandals!!)
- Cat food (my mum does buy me a few tins/pouches when she thinks of it which helps)
- Petrol (unavoidable!)
Will have to keep my eye open for some cheap easter eggs and not really sure what to do about the shoes. I might try all the cheap shops like Primark or maybe the charity shops.
Bring on the bargain hunting. I needed some new flannels so bought a couple for 19p each in Sainsburys. The only thing wrong with them is that they were brown and I guess not a popular colour. I love a good bargain.
Any tips, let me know.
