Freeview with a CRT TV is better quality than same channels on Sky.
I have a Philips Pixel Plus CRT TV and the Freeview channels have a much better picture quality than same channels on Sky.0 -
Is this offer still on?0

If anyone is waiting on a 26" IDTV, it looks like they're back in stock. I've been waiting on one since 3rd March and the money has now been taken off my credit card. I emailed customer services, who have said that my order has now been processed and the TV is on it's way to me, although they did say that they expected it to be delivered BY the 17th April. I'd have thought it wouldn't have taken as long as that.0

Ordered the 32" Samsung last Saturday, it arrived on Monday lunchtime. Really pleased with it. :j Got the 20% discount and went through Quidco for another 5%. I have not used quidco before and was wondering how long it should take for the transaction to show on my account ? Thats a week now and still no sign. I completed the purchase wholly online via the Quidco link.

Edit. Meant to say, I have 2 dead pixels. Anybody else got any and what have you done about them. Will Freemans take back or not ?0 -
I've not received mine yet, but if it has any dead pixels it's going back. If I'm paying hundreds of pounds for a TV, then I'm not prepared to accept any dead pixels, despite what the manufacturers regard as acceptable.
You're perfectly entitled to return it for refund or exhange under the Sale of Goods Act, as it is faulty.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that mine is pixel perfect, as I've waited a month for it already and can't be bothered waiting any longer.0 -

You're buying goods to a contract part of which includes the standards to which the LCD is manufactured. If that includes a tolerance w.r.t. the number of dead pixels then it will be up to you to prove the goods are faulty.0 -

Arguably, that would apply only if this was stipulated by the retailer PRIOR to the sale taking place. I don't know any retailer who states to a customer, "By the way sir, just so you know, the manufacturer states that any dead pixels on this TV, providing they don't exceed x amount, are not a manufacturing fault and will not be a reason to return the TV for refund, exchange or repair. So if you discover any when you get home, don't be coming back to ask for an refund or exchange".
With regards to Samsung products anyway, I found this on another website. It may be of interest to anyone affected.

Hi c_smith,
I had seen this zero dead pixels policy. I think it only applies to monitors and not Tv's. On the Samsung website they say they adhere to the ISO 13406-2 Industry Standard. So on the 32" I think they can get away with 3 dead pixels or 5 sub pixels. To be fair the two that I have on my set are not noticable from normal viewing distance.
Just out of curiosity if I have a warranty claim is it through Freemans or direct to Samsung ? Also should I have a warranty card or something ?
Cheers
