You have now edited your post to include a comma, whereas before it was all one line which indicated you meant that because it didnt have freeview it was therefore not HD ready.
have you read that link? Its HD ready(it says so for starters) it has HDCP enabled DVI, composite and with a resolution of 1366 x 768. How is it not HD ready? or am i missing something0 -
people
have any of you purchased one of these? if so, whats the overall width of the tv please? am thinking of getting one but need to know if it'll fit

Yes fair point i must have missed where it says its HD ready.
I put the comma in for clarification of what i was trying to say but with or without a coma it still does not read that you need freeview to make it HD ready as you have stated.
It also says this is a class 11 product so will likely ship with faulty pixels though i dont know what the smasung is classed at"Save the cheerleader - Save the world"0 -

Seemed like a good deal, and price.
Should be arriving tomorrow.
Well, they arrived today. I've unboxed and had a play with one of them.
Connected to a basic DVD player first. Image fairly good, best from a few meters away.
Connected to PC and ran some HD Videos from Quicktime/Media Player.... Much better! Nice crisp vibrant image.
Menu system takes a bit of getting used to. Looks exactly like it does in the picture. Build quality seems fine. Not stunning but what do you expect for the price. The manufacturer/model is Mirai T32114.
No dead pixels on this one. I see you can get it a fair bit cheaper here: http://www.microdirect.co.uk/productinfo.aspx?ProductID=124660 -
I ordered from freemans about a month ago. About 10 days later I got an email from debenhams to the mail address (a new one I had only so far used for freemans) saying 'your order has been cancelled'. I queried what order it was and how they got my e-mail. They wrote back saying they sent it by mistake. I received quidco cashback last week. No TV though
Am I likely to get one?0 -
received my 32" sammy yesterday, only ordered it friday 3pm! its a stunning set i must admit. couple of things tho, im a novice when it comes to tellys so dont laugh....
1. how do i recieve the freeview channels?
2. how come the picture im getting from my roof top aerial, plugged directly into back of sammy is so poor? in my old 'fat' tv it was crystal clear??
3. do upgraded scart leads make a big difference, as im not convinced im getting the best picture when watching sky...
any pointers would b much appreciated....0 -

Make sure your Sky box is set to Video Output= RGB in Services->System Setup->Picture Settings
Make sure the scart lead is connected to the RGB-enabled scart socket on the TV
If you have a standard scart lead (i.e the ones they give away with a tv etc), I would recommend getting a gold, oxygen free copper lead.
For a Sky->TV connection, I personally wouldn't go beyond looking at IXOS/Profigold/Thor ones for a max of £15 from ebay or tvcables.co.uk0 -

Bought the TV on Tuesday have had the same probs as you regarding the quality of the picture though the DTV (freeview) quality is much better.
To select DTV i.e freeview press DTV button on your remote ( to the right of the TV button at the top) and then the ch list also on the top here you can select the freeview channel you want to watch from the list.
Comparing quality of the picture you should see a difference.
To return to tv just press the tv button.
Hope you understand this as I'm not really an expert and just managed to connect everything yesterday!

thanks sara...
i had been doing as u suggested but i just got a 'no signal' message floating around the screen. tried it again last night and it found all the freeview channels! your right though, picture quality on the dtv is outstanding!! how come we cant get the same sort of quality for the sky channels as these are digital channels also? (arent they!?) the sky pic aint too bad, i just feel its more blurd than it should be, especially background objects. dont think im getting the full potential of this tv yet. think i'll go buy some gold plated scart leads as plonky suggests at the weekend and see if that improves ote....

Well I have had my 26" now since the 14th of March.
I don't get a good signal for DTV although the pictures are great on the big name channels (BBC 1, ITV 3 etc.). On Sky Digital I get a great picture for all of the major Sky channels (Sky Sports/Sky 1/Sky News/Movies) although the other channels vary on the age of the program and general compression (I am using a Thor 1.5m Gold RGB scart from Tvcables.co.uk).
Pretty much if the channel is a major channel then the picture should be great, some of the smaller channels may be using a higher compression thus you will notice some blocks.0
