  • when did you place the order?
  • My 32" arrived safely and I'm very happy with it so far. 20% discount + quidco savings both applied.
Unfortunatly it's sitting on the floor for now as I missed out on the cheap TV stand a while ago. Does anyone have any advice on where to buy a decent glass stand from?

Dont know what you class as cheap but I have the Kenmark stand from John Lewis, it cost £100 but that was for the black glass one, the clear glass one is a bit cheaper.

Someone did tell me that Argos were doing the clear glass one for around £50 but I couldnt seem to find it.

Black one has cable management, also I did see these on the shop floor at reduced prices but they were only about £10-20 off and they has scratches and the black ones had cable management missing

    Hi rwalker,

I managed to get the glass stand last weekend at £49. The promotion does not show on the instore price tag (£349) but if you ask they still sell them at £49, I think the promotion is still on but not advertised. My 32" Sammy sits proudly on it, looks great.

Don't know where you live but the deal was in Miller Brothers. I got mine thanks to a post on AVforums. Follow link.

On the link above you can see a picture posted thanks to AVforum member.

Hope you get one, cheers Kellm9.

Whoevers got the 26 inc samsung tv, does it look quite big? Can anyone post the pics for the 26inch? I want to put it in my bedroom, which is quite a large room.

I cant decide whther to get the 26inch or 32inch. the price is quite steep for the 32inch £675 + the cost of a stand.

I am going to get this stand from argos: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5344699.htm

The 26 inch is PLENTY big for a bedroom, believe me. The diagonal measurement of the screen itself is a FULL 26 inches. The whole unit, not including the stand, measures 26 inches in width and 19.5 inches in height.

i have a dell 26" which is going back and i will be geting the samsung but i will be geting the 32" as i just think it looks small in size. Think its due to the dell having speakers on the side, makes it look bigger, but il be going for the 32"
  • Thanks for all help. Think I'll try my luck with the £49 offer at Miller Brothers and if no luck it will be a trip to Ikea. I'll be sure to post an update if the £49 offer if still valid.

    ali137,
Think most people regarded £675 as a bargain for the 32" especially as most have struggled to get Freemans to honour the 25% discount code and have even battled to get 20% new customer discount as Freemans set credit limit at £500.

After 3 months, I think I've finally had a result.

Phoning internet sales number on previous page and quoting the NEW new customer discount code (on Discount Code forum) I've been told they are happy to apply 30% discount. Waiting to see it applied to my account now.
    !!Many thanks to original posters!!

Add the extra money as result of using cashback site and this gives a pretty good price - release of R7 range next week should bring prices down even further
