Also do they just refund the 20% if you have been charged the full price, anyone had to do this to get the discount
Once you have recieved the TV they will the process the discount, you do not need to be in touch with them about this. I ordered 3 items from them and the discount are applied approx 1-2 working days after they arrived.0 -
Received my 26" IDTV yesterday via Amtrak, well impressed. Picture and functions are excellent. Paid £480, bigs thanks to this website and whoever posted the link first. Cheers.
Now where can I find a good 42" Plasma for the living room...0 -
Read on another website that with the Samsung IDTVs there is a fault, in which you CANNOT record from the Digital Tuner (Freeview).
Can anyone who bought the TV be able to verify this ?
If so what did you record onto, video, CD-R, RAM ?
Im not sure if its the problem has been fixed.0 -

That'll be me! (& I'd have to say I'm astonished at the length - & number of views - my thread has achieved).
To all those who are happy with the outcome, I'd be grateful if you could click on the thanks button at the bottom of this post!!!0 -

Found this post, by cprothero, on AVForums:
Manual states ext 1 gives tuner output, ext 2 gives monitor output.
"If you put a recorder on ext 2 it will record what is shown on the screen. If you select ext 2 as the input then you have NOT selected any program and you WILL get feedback if the recorder is set to record as you should expect. Just like in an audio sense putting a microphone in front of the speaker will give you feedback as you have connected things in an amplified loop.
It is far better to put the recorder on ext 1 as you will then record the output to the TV's tuner REGARDLESS of which source the TV has selected. This means that you can watch any other source (2nd VCR, DVD player, games console, PC) on the TV whilst still recording the Freeview channel. Just make sure the last time you used the Sammy's tuner you left it on the channel you want to record.
This will not give feedback even if ext 1 is selected as the source as the recorder is recording the tuner output so you will get this TV channel displayed on the screen via the convoluted route of going into and out of the recorder."0 -
Hi I've had my 26" Sammy for about 2 weeks now, ordered from Freemans. I've noticed a flickering white line at the top of the screen when watching freeview. Has anyone that has had there's a while noticed this?
I've reported it as faulty to Freemans and have requested a replacement.
Can anyone who has also recentl received their's check to see if they get this flickering white line. It happens on all channels and it is quite annoying now that i have noticed it. I find that i'm always looking for it now whenever i watch freeview.
I've read about this problem on another forum, apparently something to do with the PCB board, but i'm going to wait for the replacement from Freemans and compare the two. If the new set has the same fault i'll get in touch with Samsung to see if they have a fix for this.0 -

Thanks for that, I have been told it has finally turned up (26" ordered around the 9th Feb).
At the time of order, I seem to recall the site saying free installation was included, I notice it doesn't say this on the site anymore.
Has anyone been able to get them to do the installation and if so how did they go about it exactly?0 -
I read about a 42" version with 25% discount but can't seem to find it?0
