26" was taking too long to come so rang them on Monday and cancelled the order and ordered the 32" which is in stock. Was delivered today! Very pleased with it and the service from Freemans.

BTW I did pay for it in full not on credit.

I read about a 42" version with 25% discount but can't seem to find it?

If you search for Toshiba LCD IDTV it defaults to the 32", there is a select options drop down which then offers the 37" and a 42" which is £1899 prior to discount.
  • I originally ordered my 26" Samsung back on January 15th phoned them several times after that date to confirm my order and make sure the 25% discount code I used was valid on each occasion they said yes everything is ok.

Received a letter off them on the 08/02/06 saying my order was cancelled due to an out of date code.

Not to be deterred I phone and complained and they reinstated my order with a new code they themselves dished out to me from the customer services department and said I would receive the item 21st of feb.

Phone 2 days before to check there was no delays and was told my order had been cancelled due to an invalid discount code (funny as they gave me the code).

Spoke to customer services again and by this point I was ready to kill someone, they let me reorder it using the new customer 20% discount code only to phone me back a couple of hours later and tell me I was only eligible for a £200 credit limit. at this point I payed for the item with my credit card but as yet still not received the TV 15/03/06.

I not impressed with freeman’s but im going to wait until I have the telly in my possession and then give them a call and see if I can get anymore discount.

    What a kafuffle

This will be my first and last order

Anyone mounted the 26" on the wall? How much does the bracket cost?

No but i'm mounting my 32 on the wall this weekend. Getting my bracket from novatech because i know they're good brackets (used to work there). Will be about £80 for mine, although i'll probably get a good discount.

Has anyone been able to record from this telly to the likes of a DVD recorder, ie Panasonic E55 and if so whats the best way to connect it and how do you set the times, just manually or can you use the tv's guide in some way
  • I got mine - at last!

The TV is nice, but the reception in my area is rancid!

Has anyone got reception on analogue and digital using those 'tv aerial boosters'? I'm thinking of getting one from Argos.

Hooking it up to the aerial would have to be a last resort - it's a long way!

I ordered my tv from Freemans using Quidco two weeks ago and have already got mine (Sony 32").

However the money still hasn't shown up on Quidco yet. Having checked t&c's on Quidco I found the following

    5. Complete your order wholly online. Did you use any cross-promo codes or links?

First of all, if you complete or modify part of your order over the phone Quidco will not be credited for the sale and thus we will not receive commission. We cannot support enquiries for these as the original tracking is irretrievably lost.

Secondly, if your order has a declined status check if you have used a discount code for a different promotional offer/site or a promotional link. Occasionally the merchant tracks this and credits it to the promo source which is probably not Quidco.

Has anyone out there got the money showing on their Quidco account?

    Thanks

I spoke to the "Casual sales" department today to see when my 26" was likely to turn up.

They seemed to think I'd ordered two sets (dontcha just love 'em) so I changed it to one and they reckon that there's more stock coming later next week (w/e March 24th).

We ordered online but actually had our order cancelled twice by Freemans (yes twice! - AND they kept the money instead of refunding to our credit card and didn't tell us they'd cancelled icon9.gif ). Anyhow, despite all that was most surprised to find we've been credited with the cashback with Quidco in reply to the post above.
