I asked them at the time of the call that I will pay the difference but they only offered me 20% on the £200 which is my credit limit. The lady said that they have all been told not to accept discount codes for any orders over your credit limit. It's all a bit confusing really, I think I will place a new order on the option of pay it all now and enter the 20% code and see what happens, the lady said if I was to do that I would be charged full price but I will just send it back if that is the case

I wouldnt do that but instead do as i posted earlier and try to argue with her that you are willing to pay the differerence up front and there is nothing on the site that states that the 20% is only on limited sales. If she doesnt budge just get her to process it and say you will accept what ever discount you get. At least that way you can argue with cs once you get the tv that you werent made aware of it ( a small white lie). i cant see them asking you to return the tv and if they do its normally free returns so wont cost you anything.

There is no mention on the home page of their website about the 20% first order discount now, so I'm wondering if they have pulled it?

Try clearing your cookies - offer still comes up

Depending on your browser and cookie settings then the offer on the home page may disappear. What is always there is the quote in the help section - go to help, then look at ordering - the first line explains the 20% offer. It's been there since I got involved in this fiasco in January.

Did you pay for yours by credit card or did you open a credit account with Freemans. On another forum there was someone complaining that Freemans have told him the discount only applies to new credit accounts and if you pay by credit or debit card you don't get the discount.

Paid for mine using Credit Card. They said they would refund the 20% back onto the card, this hasn't been done yet though!!

Also doesn't the tv section on the Debenhams website look awfully similar to the Freemans one!!?

Got my 20% off with no problems (ordered the 32 inch samsung). Only £720 charged to my cc. Can't wait for tv to arrive now!
What did I do at work before I discovered MSE?!

DFD - WAS: a while ago

NOW - not sure, due to boyfriend going back to uni for masters and now pgce. Worth it in the long run!
Proud to be dealing with my debts!

I believe Freemans manage the internet operation for Debenhams.
