No it hasn't you are looking at the wrong one. The Samsung IDTV is still £899. The newer model is £999.

You can only complain if you made the order in the first place!

I have been rung by Freemans this afternoon who have confimed delivery by the end of this week at the 30% discounted price. They were very good on the phone, confirming payment details and being very apologetic. Good for them.

Well considering the TV I ordered (40") only came in stock on Friday. I have wrote an email to the same department you did on Friday and fingers crossed they reply with a positive outcome.

Did you do your first complaint via email? if so how long did it take for them to show any sign of having got the email? As I've not had any confirmation yet.

I only liaised with TS online. They actually rang me (Cornwall and W/Yorks). They then passed my details to Freemans who rang today to confirm the order/delivery date at reduced price.

If you are only in the process of complaining, then I only did it online via email or TS forms.

Good luck and be factual but persistent.

I sent my first email complaint which was replied to (with positive outcome) about a week later. Didn't take long and I suspect as the wheels are now in motion, it should be less for other complaints.

After reading the past couple of additions to this thread I wrote to Sarah:-

    Hi Sarah

I believe your terms and conditions were misleading and have been found as such. Please advise me on how we are going to proceed on my order?

    I received the standard reply:-

Thank you for your email, regarding your recent order.

As previously advised, the discount code was not valid for Electrical goods. This is highlighted in our Terms and Conditions. We regret that we are unable to give the discount on this order. If the item is still required, it would need to be ordered at the full price.

Wonder if it's worth contacting trading standards? I have complained to Freemans a few weeks ago but never followed it up.

As advised by Windym, to have any chance of getting your order you must put in an official complaint to Trading Standards.

Freemans will not budge unless you do this as it's not in their best interests to do so.

    Update:

Sent a email with my complaint to the mentioned trading standards on Friday of last week, not heard anything back as yet, not even a confirmation they have recieved the email. :(

Also sent Freemans a complaint email stating that I have contacted trading standards, this morning I got an email from Sarah Gibbs saying she has forwarded the complaint to the department that is dealing with this.

    Hoorah I thought!

Then a few hrs later for another email from Sarah Gibbs with the generic email that Hintza got. What very poor customer support this company has.

I'd like to suggest you make your complaint through Consumer Direct. you can either phone them, email them or the simplest thing is to fill out the form online.

I got an immediate reply from them over this and I believe they have had so many complaints about Freemans that the Yorks+Humberside head of CD has spent the afternoon "talking" to Freemans.
