    After problems with tescos credit card declining my transaction, freemans have now reserved £700 on my credit card for the newer tv (32"). Spoke with freemans customer call center seems that because it would have gone though if my credit card had not declined it they were more than happy to reorder and apply the 30% discount. Though i twigged that i had changed my name slightly since i ordered my first tv as i used my shortened first name to order with second time dont know if this made a differeance or not. Been told it should arrive in 3-5 working days.

    All i can say to those who are having problems
    1 clear your cookies
    2 order with a credit card an do not open the account
    3 use quidco for extra 5%
    4 phone your credit card company and pre autherise the amount to come off the card.
    These steps may help you order and recieve the product you want.

    I have been trying to order the new version (so much better than the older 1), I am sending my 1 back. Can you remember when you ordered, does it tell you the £700 price before you press buy? I keep trying, clearing cookies the lot but always shows £999 at final stage and code invalid :confused:

    I ordered my 26" on 20th April using a debit card and received confirmation of a delivery date in 12 days time. I just rang them to check on the status and they told me the order had been cancelled because the code was invalid.:mad: :mad:

    Despite my protestations and threats of Trading Standards the woman from hell wouldn't budge. I just rang TS and they confirmed that as they had not taken any money, no contract was in place. I'm well bloody P'd off now.

    Any thoughts of what to try next?

    Great so they're not even bothering to tell people that their orders have been cancelled now? you didn't receive any sort of cancellation email?

    neilb1977: i ordered mine last wednesday.

    zelnik: you dont need to open an account with freemans to get cashback from quidco, though freemans do issue you with an account number incase you want to return the tv.

    SimplyCongy : you will still recieve the cashback so been worth the attempt none the less.

    Guess they may have realized some orders were still getting throught with the 30% code, that they decided to remove the code all together.

    Yes it works on 32"! Switch off to standby, wait few secs then press info, menu, mute and power on (quickly)

    Hi

    I ordered the 32" old model in my OH name and received it for £630.00 . I have now ordered the new model in my name as I would prefer it. I phoned up today as no money has gone from my account and they stated that they are awaiting stock and that it will be dispatched as soon as stock arrives.

    I am not holding my breath as they could still cancel yet, as other people are reporting due to invalid code. If I do get the newer model I am planning to either send back the old model which I have just checked works for now and then packaged back up (I am currently using my 26" but that is for the kids play room) or sell on e-bay, but if anyone is interested in the old model for 630.00 (as long as I get the new model) pm me and I will let you know if I get the new model before I get rid, as I am just after my money back and not looking to make any profit.

    I posted on this thread a while ago when having problems with ordering my 32 inch LCD when the 20% code was first posted.

    Long story short, our order was cancelled twice without notification, and they didn't even refund our card! Lied about various things to us, etc etc. Lots of other problems, but finally got the TV after over 2 months. So I wrote to complain (thinking nothing would come of it), but was pleasantly surprised to get a grovelly letter yesterday from them. Most of it was a load of flannel, but they gave me an additional 10% off my order (they have refunded it to me). So I saved 30% overall instead of just 20%.

    Just thought I would mention this, as so many people have had trouble; so if any of you out there have had a really bad time with this then maybe worth a letter.

    Just been told by a customer services supervisor that no more orders will be honoured with this discount even thought I have been told twice by customer services (after referring to a supervisor) in the last 3 days that my order will be supplied and the discount taken off.
