I don't think they're legally allowed to sell a returned item as 'new' (which these are being sold as).
So if it's obvious (instructions out of the sealed bag, remotes filled with batteries etc), then you should call them to account....0 -

This tv has become the curse of my life...
I ordered on the 22nd april, only to get tol 6 days later the code was invalid.
I've just tried to order again, after seeing that some people who ordered after me were getting their televisions. It now says COD EIS INVALID when you get to checkout.
Am going to have one last try phoning customer services, and then give it up as a bad job. Seems prices may be falling anyway...
Good news so fa ris that Quidco is tracking my first purchase, although it was ancelled. Doubt that will complete, but heres hoping eh!Comping for my new PC! Needed £283 + Windows Vista! Got... £30 iPoints, £10 surveys... Must try harder0 -

Can anyone update me on whether this works for the 32" ?
neilb1977: i ordered mine last wednesday.
zelnik: you dont need to open an account with freemans to get cashback from quidco, though freemans do issue you with an account number incase you want to return the tv.
SimplyCongy : you will still recieve the cashback so been worth the attempt none the less.
Guess they may have realized some orders were still getting throught with the 30% code, that they decided to remove the code all together.0 -
Does anyone know if the 30% offer is still available for this or even the 20%?
And is it worth the hassle to get this Samsung TV cos it seems like everyone's having trouble with it.Target Savings: Deposit on my first property by September 2010>>>[Savings: 40.00% Complete]<<<[Debt: £0.00p]0 -
thanks for the advice concerning quidco.
I ordered early last week and I see the TV today has had another weeks delay put on it.. Fingers crossed my order goes through ok, but i'm not holding my breath0 -
Have contacted them with regards to the condition of the tv, waiting for them to get back to me. Might have been better off going for the newer version ( less likey to be a returns)0

I am none too impressed with Freemans. I ordered the 26" Samsung IDTV back in February using the 20 percent off first order discount code. The order was accepted and the confirmation e-mail showed the discounted price.
The order was cancelled a few weeks ago allegedly because my credit card was declined (although Egg denied this). I placed the order again and found out today that the order was cancelled yesterday because the offer code does not apply to electricals. I have phoned them on numerous previous ocassions to check on progress of the order and was never advised that this would happen.
I complained to Freemans that the banner on the home page said 20 percent off everything, and they quoted the get out that it said on the confirmation e-mail 'order subject to status'. After waiting three months I'm not too happy, especially as others on the board have got one.0 -

Too right, if it gets through and paid then i'd suggest everyone does it right away!!!
Anyhow, got a potential update. Got home today and there was a letter thanking me for my order, apologising for the delay due to stock outs, and telling me that my TV could be expected in 7 days! Also said my card wont be debitted until the item is dispatched...
so i might get it after all!!! :jComping for my new PC! Needed £283 + Windows Vista! Got... £30 iPoints, £10 surveys... Must try harder0 -

I know what you mean. I dont want to begrudge others, but its kinda difficult not too eh!
I might give trading standards a go if nothing comes of it... cant hurt i guess... Especially seeing as how I complained about the order being cancelled a week ago and still had not reply (thats just rude!)Comping for my new PC! Needed £283 + Windows Vista!
