A tv needs an aerial for a picture, do you have one?
If so plug it in, switch on your tv and use the menu's to do a channel search.
tHE TV has an analogue tuner and a digital one.
On your remote you will have a MENU button which is probably for anaologue options.
You should also have a D.MENU which has your digital options, after plugging everthing together use these menus, also have a good read of the user manual.
After doing a channel search in the D.MENU you will soon find out if your aerial is capable of receving digital signals0 -

Mine has been delivered the 32" £630 and its says on the box that it is the one with the freeview but I can't find how to work it. Can anybody help me? Sorry if its a stupid question I'm just not very good with these things
Yet you paid £630 without understanding how it will work, whether it will work or therefore what benefits you were going to get from it :eek:0 -

Try reading the instruction manual that came with the TV.
Have you plugged the mains cable into a wall socket.
Is the aerial connected to the aerial socket ?
Is the TV switched on ?
It will need to be tuned in to any TV Channels in your area.0 -

No of course not I ordered it for the telly itself and it works perfectly its just that I know they were selling 2 models one with and one without freeview. I ordered the one with freeview but now it has arrived there is no mention of it at all in the manual but it does say freeview on the box. At the end of the day at that price freeview is just a bonus I was just confused as to whether my model has it or not thats all.0 -

Of course I have read the instruction manual the tv is all set up and there is no mention of freeview in the manual. I did order the tv with freeview and it does say freeview on the box but nowhere else. At the end of the day if they have sent me the tv with no freeview at the price I got it for I am not complaining. I was just wondering if there was something I was missing as to the freeview channels thats all..0 -

What is the model number on the TV ? (not the box) do they tally up?0 -

This will be a stupid question if you've read the manual, but did you press the DTV button, go into the DTV menu and set up your TV to search for freeview channels? If so and it doesn't work, or if you dont' have a DTV button on your remote, you may have teh non-freeview version or perhaps your ariel signal isn't strong enough.
If you haven't pressed DTV and gone into the DTV menu, you need to read the manual0 -
I would advise against complaining and trying to get the 30% off if they're denying you, and just move on. They have no logic to their arguments, and it just takes more time to try and resolve than it's worth. In my case, they actually have on their computers that a supervisor approved a certain discount for me upon ordering, but they still refused to honour it when the item came into stock, stubbornly giving me stock answers and a great "compensation" of 10% off my next order with them :-)
and for people talking about trading standards, it's not worth it, they don't care :
"Unfortunately, Trading Standards are unable to help you in the circumstances, as the matter you describe is one of a civil contractual nature. Trading Standards can only investigate allegations of criminal offences under the legislation it enforces.
However, there is a new national consumer helpline - Consumer Direct 08454
04 05 06 - who can advise you of your rights, and what to do in the circumstances. Please give them a call, or visit their website https://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk for more information."
If you're unhappy, there's no point contacting trading standards, contact these bodies which Freemans are a member of instead, as they are interested and will investigate :

Do you have a D-MENU button on the remote control?
Also would imagine the telly has the DVB sign on the front of it somewhere, indicating it is digital.
Answer some of these questions and people might be able to help you one way or the other0
