Sorry to hear that, MOT.

Perhaps you should have a 'chat' with your 'boss' - maybe after a week or so, once you are established - tell her what you thought you were going to be doing. It's possible that she was not aware of the conditions that you accepted when you were offered the job.

If the job was advertised as 'flexible hours' and you agreed, in principle, your hours at your interview, then she really should respect this. Perhaps, though, she is not aware of what was agreed at the interview. :undecided

And the office can't be any worse than mine.

Chin up - it'll look better after a dew days. :):)
Thanks Rog for the cheer up :A. Unfortunately she was at the interview so knew that the hours are my decision as to how to work and I remember saying that I was pleased that I would be able to be home for the twins when they get in from school.

Have left a message for my line manager to call me and I will discuss with her (she's in charge of admin).

Surely your office Rog doesn't have 6 years worth of dust everywhere does it  cos that's what I found when delving beneath the computer workstation  Maybe now that I have started the clear up the cleaner will be able to do a better job :T

According to my wife - yes. Personally I don't think so because I know where everything is (most of the time  ). I'm currently under 'orders' to clear it out, as we have relations coming from Italy next month and we need to 'reclaim' at least a part of it as the bedroom it once was.

I would certainly have a word with your line manager - we can't have an unhappy MOT.

Ohh Rog, thank you - you have brought a smile to my face - the first one for hours :A.

Now I'm sure you do know where everything is but do you really want those lovely Italians relatives to come down with the lurgy/asthma?

Good luck Rog, I really, really do hope that you get a good result from this.

Have just spoken with my Line Manager who agrees that I should be able to work each day for 3.75 hours as agreed at interview and she is going to speak to onsite Manager and 'sort her out' !!!
