Sorry to hear about IT but hope it sorts it's self out soon without having to go down the surgery route.
Good luck to Rog2 - one of the great gentlemen of this forum.

Just to keep it official, mot, though we know we've already
this morning,
Good Luck for today.
It will fly.
They will praise themselves highly for having appointed you.
This job is utterly right for you and you'll make it even more so, were that possible.
Now, it's rog's turn.....................
Just waiting for twins to go to school so that I can get into the bathroom and get ready, don't have to be there til 10am so I'm fairly chilled out at the moment. Twins have started on packed lunches today as hopefully I will get WTC and they won't be entitled to free school meals anymore. That reminds me I must phone WTC and school lunch folk when I get home!Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -

Good luck today MOT. :T :T
My interview went well, thanks. I have to wait for a few days whilst he discusses things with his other directors - the Company has never had a dedicated 'Sales' function before, but they need to 'grow' the business and the MD knew of me, and my circumstances.
Their market is the Food Industry and I have been involved in that Industry for more than 25 years - I have built up excellent relationships, over that time, and have a good portfolio of clients.
Most of their technology comes in from Italy - some from the same companies with whom I used to deal - and they really do need someone to look after all aspects of dealing with foreign companies, especially with the technical nature of their machines.
We did discuss my 'wants' - ie salary and OTE expectations etc. - but any firm offer would be suject to full board approval. He told me that he wants to get things moving as soon as possible, but he is abroad all this week so will not see his co-directors until next week at the earliest, although he said he will talk to them by phone and may call me before the end of the week.
I have to be patient - but optimistically so - I am used to that.
So, as I prepare to go and deliver groceries to the fine customers of ASDA, I look forward to the possibility of some good news myself.
Anyway, MOT, by the time you read this, you will have finished your first day. Hope it went well. :beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Yawn, yawn, yawn.............hi, its me.........yawn!
First day went well, lots of form filling in and a tour of the unit meeting my colleagues. Still don't totally know what I have to do but I am off for training at another unit tomorrow so will know more then.
Came home and made couple of phone calls, had chat with twins when they came in from school then promptly fell asleep for an hour!
Can't stop yawning...................
Good news on interview Rog, fingers crossed that it comes good for you xxChristians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
That has all made for VERY good upbeat reading, rog.
So many fingers crossed on several Threads for you...
[I have it on the q.t. that ASDA will counter-offer with a Board Directorship themselves:D ]
Great news, with more to follow by the Ides of March, hopefully.
