For its first day it recorded energy consumtion of 7.6004 kWh compared to 7.1 kWh recorded on the electricity meter. This suggests that it is reading about 7% high for this one day's usage. I read on a website that was comparing different types of energy monitors that the claimed accuracy is +/- 2%.
How do you get it to record a daily consumption figure am i missing something on mine but i can only see whats being used in real time, i cant seem to find a history option??0 -

It all depends how old your model is - the old ones don't have a historical usage function, the new ones do (new model is CM119 from what i recall)Call me Carmine....

Hi Guys
Not sure if anyone has the knowledge to help me. I live in Spain in an apartment. I want an energy monitor but am not sure if it will work here. We have similar voltage 220v but my meter, along with all the other aptment meters is in a room quite a way from my apartment. I have access to the incoming electric cable in my apartment via the fuse/trip box. Question: Will it work?
Thanks

I've had my Owl monitor for about a week now. So far its doing its job!
What I need help with though is getting the cost display to work. Our electricity has a standing charge and I can't figure out how to set it to take that into account. Any ideas?0 -

Work it out per day - for example £1 and divide by average daily kwh. So, if 12 kwh a day, add on another 8p to the kwh cost. Accurate enough, I think.0 -

The sensor can be fitted at the apartment end of the meter tails, so yes it will work. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Hi Guys
Just received my FREE Owl from British Gas (who I've since left) and wondered if anyone else has worked out how to set the cost when the tariff is a higher amount for the first 900 kwh then a lower amount after that? At the moment it's just set for the higher amount as I'm not looking for a 100% accurate cost, more a comparison.
