    Ouch at the blisters!

Snaggles, I'm really sorry to hear that, he sounds a complete child.

Well I was hoping to go into town and open a credit union account today but my sister needs me to give her a lift so I'm not sure I'll manage it. If not I'm def doing it tomorrow.

And I'm a muppet. I logged into internet banking to check that a transfer I made from one account to the other had gone through. I then looked at the first account and panicked about a £60 transfer... yep it was the one I made yesterday.

Got my book group tonight which'll be good, although I didn't like the book. I do get to have a Starbucks coffee though (cos that's where we meet, a nice little monthly treat that's cheaper than going for a meal like we used to do).

Really should do a bit of housework now, but don't want to!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Ames - book group sounds lovely!

i often think we could do some kinda MSE/DFW bookclub but buying books isn't very MSE is it?

Do you buy your books new? or amazon? Are you a member of readitswapit? I am, although i haven't swapped for aaages.... i have a pile 2foot high beside the bed of books i am planning on reading... but there doesn't seem to be enough time!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

Im glad your skin is improving. Maz-I've been thinking about your static weight issue-do you do a food diary? It may be worth doing to see if you have an intolerance that is slowing down metabolism or failing that-you could monitor it and go see the Dr and show s/him your intake vs running swimming etc and perhaps it could be a thyroid issue?

Ames-I'd love to join a book club-they always look such fun!

I love readitswapit! But as I've got 123 books that I haven't read yet bf and sister have ganged up and told me I can't acquire any more, except for book groups and my course, until I've read them. I can't remember the last time I bought a new book, read it swap it is great, and mostly I get them from charity shops. If I have to I'll buy them off ebay, which is sometimes cheaper even than the charity shops. I did try the library but I went in with a list of about 100 books and they only had about 6 in the whole of Leeds, and only a couple in the central library. And at 40p to order them in it's not much dearer buying from charity.

Well I've just cleaned the bathroom. I did try to mop it too but realised that a mop from the poundland might be cheap, but it's useless as an actual mop. At least I tried though!

It's about the fact that I'm always there for him when he is upset, stressed, ill or just fancies a chat, but it's all one way, he's never there for me. There are reasons why he can't be, but they are of his own making, and he just doesn't understand how hard it is to feel like I'm in a very one-sided relationship. Last night he couldn't spare me more than a couple of minutes of his time, even though he knew I was ill and stressed, but had waited up to speak to him on MSN
    Snaggles :grouphug:

It is really hard being there for someone when they don't do the same for you (I've spent most of the last 3 years doing just that). I suspect he's hitting out at you because he feels guilty about it, but it is something you need to sort out quickly. If you don't mind me asking, why has he not told people about you? Try to stay strong until you get a chance to actually speak to him and don't sink to his level of silly comments etc cos that can so quickly descend into nastiness. Hugs xx

Snaggles / Redsquirrel80 - I can totally get where you are both coming from, I've (sort of) been seeing someone for the last 2 years but reading what you've both posted here I can certainly identify with, my relationship is very one sided - we only talk when he can talk & he's told no-one about us, all these things should be sounding alarm bells & if if was one of my mates I tell her to kick him into touch but as my mate said to me the other day, it all gets complicated when feelings are involved.
This year I'm trying not to be so available, not to answer his calls straight away or sometimes not at all, ignore texts, etc but it's very hard when you feel alone & need to talk to someone :(

I think the reason I took the plunge yesterday & came out of "lurkdom" is that you all seem to have gone through / are going through things that I am & sometimes when you spend time on you own you think too much & think you're the only one with problems.

BTW thanks Gemmzie, not sure I find Dexter "a little bit sexy" but there is something about him ;)

    Afternoon gang

No Luc or Bookie today

Big hugs for Snaggles, maybe with what you have been through recently, your tolerance level is low (rightly so) and it's good that you are not going to put yourself through it all again :grouphug:

Maz & Sammy, ouch to blisters, I am in need of some new trainers, but can't be bothered to go and get some and thought of a pair that don't fit _pale_

I've nipped home from work for an hour, so I thought I'd catch up.....by the time I logged on last night, there were pages of chat :D

Relationship wise, I'm blessed to have Mr Twit, he is a real sweetie and loves me to bits (as I do him) we are both far too lazy to argue so it's all very peaceful here. :kisses3:
