Totally agree, it's fine as it is. Quick follow up question, what do you mean by the BGs lights being on?

    Hi

I am not sure what people think but I tend to avoid competitions run by the 3rd party agencies, 1) becuase their dates are so far in the future I will not remember them and could easy change address without thinking, and 2) because they obviously have millions of entries and it makes the national lottery look easy to win!

Anyway, My thought was to seperate competitions into two - one being competitions being run by a company with a promotion, and another for companies (like www.getmeaticket.co.uk)

What do other people think?

I would love to win something worthwhile but the only thing i ever one was a kettle and toaster form M&S 10 years ago. Mind you, both are still going strong! Yey M&S :T :T

I like it how it is...:D

Thanks, so you need to find posts by the BG you're looking for to see whether they're about?

The 4 bgs are listed at the bottom of The main Competitions Time page, see where i mean? The bit where you also display thread options and stuff.

Aaaah, got you, I had used the BGs names there to request merges but hadn't noticed the 'lights' when you do. Thanks so much Kitty.

I don't think we list those by the site mentioned in this post anyway as they spam you - so there is nothing to split  - see the comping guide for more companies the same.

  • The Bernadette Hurst effect?

There seems to be a new section in the competition T&Cs on the Heart website (applicable to all Global radio stations) - or at least, I've not noticed it before...

    5. Claims to prizes
5.1 In order to enable Global to correctly identify genuine claims and to eliminate non-genuine, deceitful or fraudulent claims, evidence of Competition entry must be made available if requested for the checking of such claim. In addition, Global reserves the right to request proof of identity, age and address in the form of your passport or driving licence, and proof of your address in the form of a utility bill. Global may also carry out an interview in order to validate such claims. Interviews may be by telephone or in person with you and may be recorded. Global may also ask you to provide an in-studio recording to compare to your on-air win to provide proof of vocal identity. If you refuse to provide any of these details or participate in or answer all questions raised in such an interview without good reason then your place in the Competition will be treated as invalidated and the Prize may be withdrawn.

And the one which they would have ruin our IWIWIW thread -

    11. Confidentiality
11.2 You may not publicise your involvement in the Competition or the fact that you have won a Prize without the prior written permission of Global.

    From the Rules sticky

    7. No Vote For Me Competitions. Please do not post vote for me competitions, they are not allowed on this forum.

(Not suffering from delusions of grandeur but I don't think any board guides are around atm)
