I don't actually even have the benefit of blaming anybody else ... it wasn't bumped and I actually went looking for it:D
Urrgh, I'm just a dope and deserve everything I get ...0 -
I was wondering whether what you put as your name affects your chances of winning....is there a chance that you'd probably not win.or be chosen winnee if you u use your initials instead of your name...eg A One, instead of Any One...or P Panther instead of Pink Panther...
ADDED:
reminds me, anyone know what happened to Pink Panther/opodo comp? that did look nice...
EDIT: had a look on their site, says they had the draw yest..so probably find out next week I guess
also, how much percent of comps do you think are fake? by which I mean, not realy awarding prizes..or just data gathering/marketing purpose ones..IYKWIM...Im sure is a winner in i won today? xx
Thanks cestlavie - Pink Panther/Opodo runner up
this is the only competition I really wanted to win, first thing I did on here was to check if anyone won th diamond then decided to check email(more like had to to confirm registration for another comp)...and going through my spam box today, I found a letter from them saying that I had won the runner up prize - my first one ever!!!! yay!!! I'm so excited..and Friday 13th has once again been lucky for me!!!!!!! my first win!!!happy to be back after about 8 year hiatus...!0 -
Hi
I am not sure what people think but I tend to avoid competitions run by the 3rd party agencies, 1) becuase their dates are so far in the future I will not remember them and could easy change address without thinking, and 2) because they obviously have millions of entries and it makes the national lottery look easy to win!
Anyway, My thought was to seperate competitions into two - one being competitions being run by a company with a promotion, and another for companies (like www.getmeaticket.co.uk)
What do other people think?
I would love to win something worthwhile but the only thing i ever one was a kettle and toaster form M&S 10 years ago. Mind you, both are still going strong! Yey M&S :T :T............... Have you ever wondered what

edit* none of the lights are on, will pm dalkirst with itplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
I think its working fine as it is, why change if nothing wrong with it (unless Im in a minority:D)Weight Loss - 102lb0
-
nope, i think you're in the majority hjb.
If it aint broke, why fixit?
lol, wasnt sure whether it was just me or not
i think if the suggestion about third party comps etc separated then it opens the floodgates to all sorts of different divides
i say keep it like it is, simple for people to use
thinking on...every so often there is a 'suggestion' of how to divide the board or how to change it, (or even dare i saw it 'where have the comps ending threads gone:D:D) but I think the way it is is the bestWeight Loss - 102lb0 -
I agree ...
Occasionally someone will come along and suggest changing things (no offence OP), but generally, the forum works very well, is easy to use and the great BG's help everything run smoothly.
I see no reason to change something that obviously works very well for the vast majority I'm sure.Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0 -
I agree, it works well so don't see the need for that distinction.
too many comps..not enough time!0
