Competitions Discussion Thread Part 9

Hi All
I've been comping on and off for years and currently subscribe (on and off) to a comping magazine.
I'm debating whether or not to unsubscribe and just get my comps from here and another website I use instead as my mag costs me £40 a year (money I could use for stamps!) .
My magazine has all the postcard comps, online ones, text, but also all the tiebreakers and slogan comps about. Not sure if I've seen this on MSE or not!? May not be looking hard enough.....
Plus I just wondered if anyone has any ideas for cutting the cost of postage? I sometimes use the unfranked stamps that I get through the post at home and work.
Thanks fellow compers and can I just say to the regular compers that you do a great job!

I dont pay for any comping clubs/magazines, I find that on here and the rest of the internet there are enough comps to keep me going that are free and easy to enter
Have to say though that I dont do postal or phone entries, all my comping is entirely free:DWeight Loss - 102lb0 -
I have a leaflet in from La Redoute with a prize draw to win a £1000 shopping spree. It's no purchase necessary but I'm not sure whether the codes I have to enter are unique to me or not. I've got no experience with this. If anyone is a customer if you get a minute do you mind going here
https://www.laredoute.co.uk/Recruitment/PrizeDraw.aspx?VisiblePanel=pnlPrizeDraw
and trying to enter with order codes 5883 or 7086 ? (you need your customer no. handy)
And also, since you have to be a customer, is it even worth posting it in the first place?

The bumping has been driving me mad recently. Whenever I log in recently have the comps I've posted have been needlessly bumped. I don't mind newbies doing it as when someone points it out to them, they generally stop. But people who've been on here a while and have been told numerous times...why do they keep doing it?

I agree
I mean I thought the point of having the 'Discussion Thread' and 'Compers Inn' was so people didnt have to bump comps etc - sometimes you can understand the magazine ones but Im beginning to think they are a nuiscance getting bumped up as sometimes people catch up on them, in the past I have had 3 issues bumped up just with someone to say thanks.Weight Loss - 102lb0 -
