    Morning peepies

Quick post before I dash off to another client this morning (Oxford yesterday, Eastbourne today....racking up the miles at the moment)

Good news is that all my appointments for march now booked so by mid march I will have achieved my invoice target for the month :j ..leaving last week to help parents move and get myself back together again...but I am going to be very very busy trying to fit it all in

I'm working on the insurance letter at the moment - it's taking some time but need to fully present the case for loss of earnings but having to write out all the trials and tribulations of the last 18months is actually proving a bit distressing.

Have to drastically reclaim the house when I get back this afternoon :o as friend coming at the weekend to see Tina Turner at the O2...

Sorry Lula/Numpty piccie thingie will have to wait - but Numpty give us a bell this evening re the insurance...;)

    See you all later

just popping in to say nah nah i won. I GOT MY WORK PERMIT PAPERWORK IN TODAY *does a happy dance*. I am SO relieved. But even then they don't make it easy. It says on the form that you can pay at the office via EFTPOS, so went into the office and lo and behold you CAN'T pay that way. Then why the chuff does it say it on the form. AAAAAh. So had to use my credit card, which I really didn't want to do.

Still it is in, and at least it shouldn't take too long. Only a couple of weeks allegedly....

hope that things are ok with you, and that you are making SOME ME TIME. Don't do too much running about.....

    hugs

    OMG!!!! Chev.......:p :p:p:p:p:p

Well this is a quickie - sorry peeps but.....

I have spent a sum total of 18 hours...yes 18 hours.....drafting letter of final complaint to insurance company together with a "bundle" of evidence (lawyer speek!!)

I was up at 5am this morning to finish off the last 6 hours and sent it off :T :T ..the claim now stands at £98,500.00      .

Then went out to client meeting in London today and returned to draft email to CEO;s of insurance companies as follows:

    WITHOUT PREJUDICE

    Dear Sirs

I filed an official complaint on 8th December 2008 with XXXXXX. I was flooded on 20th July 2007 and my XXXXX policy has still not paid out. I have suffered severe emotional distress and financial loss owing to the mismanagement, inaction and delays of this claim by your nominated agents and have still not received payments due on contents and buildings claims. Many of the problems are attributed to YYYYYY loss adjusters and I know I am not the only one of your clients who has had to suffer these problems.

Further evidence on YYYYYY tardiness and mishandling in response to claims management to other insurance companies as well as yourselves is provided on public forums such as moneysavingexpert.com (see the Insurance board) and other consumer web sites. (Last year I refused a very competitive offer from ZZZZZZ for home insurance because they too used YYYYY and I have literally just renewed my policy with XXXXXX – loyalty notwithstanding……better the devil you know!)

Unfortunately your complaints unit have been unable to respond to my complaint within the statutory 8 weeks because…..they are still awaiting a response to my complaint from YYYYY!!!!! (They tell me this is not unusual). I have every sympathy for them and have tried to progress my complaint with reasonable good humour – after all YYYYY failings are not their fault. However, as YYYYYY are your nominated agents, I have no option but to take action against yourselves to recover my losses and have decided to give you one last chance before approaching the Ombudsman even though technically you are now in breach. Be advised however, that if I do not receive a satisfactory final response to my letter by 31st March 2009, I will immediately make an official complaint to the Ombudsman and subsequently go public (Watchdog and Which? would be my first choices).

    For information:
My losses/settlement requested now stand at some £98,000+.
    YOUR REF: CLAIM NUMBER: aaaaaaaa
    POLICY NUMBER: bbbbbbbbb

I have provided a complete bundle of evidence with my follow up letter of today’s date (sent recorded delivery to XXXXXXX Complaints and attached here minus the bundle), to enable you to undertake a serious supplier review and if necessary take action against your supplier(s) to recover any losses; (who, if my experience is anything to go by, could be costing you a fortune in unnecessary payouts such as lengthy temporary accommodation costs, payments for services not given and claims for compensation by people such as myself owing to the unreasonable delays).

I have formerly been a small business owner and company director for 15 years. I am appalled at the situation that myself, your claims handling staff and your complaints unit staff currently find ourselves in and I sincerely hope you will take action on receipt of this communication for the benefit of your business, your staff, your customers and ultimately myself.

I would be grateful if you would acknowledge personal receipt of this communication and re-assure me it will receive your urgent attention.

    With concerned regards

Hopefully I have not disclosed too much above - please adivse pronto anyone if I need to edit!!

I am so chuffed with today!!! But know this is just a respite until the next "missive" to the Ombudsman in a month;s time :o

Anyhow Tina Tuner...what can i say.....I felt "priviliged" to attend...for someone as she, who is knocking on 69 years old,....well regardless of age, it was one of the best concerts I have ever seen...from her performance down to the lighting and stage set......truly professional and very very good. I'm so glad we went to see her......and me and Smashed had a great time ...sitting in Covent Garden with a bottle or two setting the world to rights prior to braving the serious tube disruption...(no Jubilee line in central london ---dooh.....it's only the tube that goes to the O2 arena.........!! )

Anyhow, will be working double time over the next week but thereafter will start the photo thingie and hlelp my parents move.

Keep fingers crossed please peepies that insurance company don;t prattishly force me to go to Ombudsman next month...not sure i can take much more of this.......

    Hugs to all
    xxxxx
