Did someone mention Party - next year at Chez Wols? Count me in - I can bring a tent and a sleeping bag:rotfl:

I heard that the weather was terrible on Thursday night - ex OH was supposed to be driving up from London but decided that the thunder was a bit too much to cope with. He promised to get up at 5.30am to drive to Brum but he was still in his bed at 8.30am:rolleyes: I was an inconvenience and to be honest when he did arrive he showed his true colours and made me walk the entire length of the hospital to meet him by the lift because he was too bone idle to collect me from the ward:mad: I couldnt wait to be rid of him and I managed it yesterday morning and now he is talking about coming up again this weekend:eek: I can manage to cook, in a few days I will be able to have a bath without fear of drowing or passing out and I shall make an appointment at the hairdressers to get my hair washed (it sticks out and doesnt feel very nice:eek:).

The op went well and my fellow patients were great fun - we had to make our own entertainment because the ward tv was bust (I don't think it has ever worked). Firstly, we were entertained by a drug crazed loonie screaming and rampaging up and down saying that he wanted to leave - instead of placating him I would have just let him out but no the nurses decided that he needed treatment:rolleyes: One of the loos was occupied and I needed to use the other one so I went to the nurses station to ask for some loo paper (how degrading) and I saw crazed loonie outside the dayroom wielding a large blue chair a la lion tamer style. Nursie pointed me in the direction of the tissues on my bed - so I went to collect a huge wodge and then went about my business. Going back to my bed was a bit more exciting as crazed loonie had come down to the women's section and this time he had picked up another chair and waved it in my face, as you can appreciate I did not like this as I had an eye patch on one eye and couldnt wear my glasses. I was shooed back to my bed - I thought about ringing the police but didnt as I had been told to keep quiet. Police arrived to escort said loonie away (it appeared that he had kicked off at the weekend too and received a police escort from the ward then), such is the effect of anaesthetic on my body I needed to go to the loo again and had to ask a policeman if I could go - how embarrassing that he saw me in my primarni jimjams:eek: After the excitement, us ladies were thinking of all sorts of gruesome ways to inflict pain on the loonie - all involved long thick needles and no anaesthetic.:rotfl:

My eyesight has improved somewhat although the central vision in my left eye is non existent still but the peripheral vision is a whole lot clearer and it no longer feels as though I am looking through some dark frosted glass:j All I am doing is sleeping.

Weather here is grotty today so my planned trip to the paper shop has been postponed. Wol - let Numpty iron his own trollies - he needs to become a bit domesticated and do stuff like cooking.

I hate carboots where you don't earn much - last year I did one and it rained and I got £47 but at another one on a sunny day I only got back £10 which was the entrance fee - lots of !!!!!! wanting stuff for nowt.
