Piano marathon on monday evening (in preparation for visit to hand consultant next day)....by very drunk Wol :eek:...poor neighbours
Visit to consultant reference hand on tuesday...oooh err...sorry Numpty...
Dreading the visit.......but :T:j.......I struck lucky and got a brilliant registrar. I was absolutely livid to find the last person I saw 6 months ago had written that I was fully recovered :mad::mad:. This new guy took me seriously, especially when I said "is this as good as it gets...because it sucks to me" and said they even do extra special stuff for musicians/pianists and couldn;t understand why the fact i was a pianist wasn;t on my notes
He has referred me for nerve conductance studies to find out if the ulna nerve (runs from neck via elbow to finger) is causing the horrible stuff I am experiencing.(it is , we know that, they just have put off doing anything about it for the last 9 months) Bottom line is....HALLELUJAH...:j:T...even if nothing can be done to make it any better...at least I will know the cause and be able to deal with it accordingly rather than it being implied that it is because I am a lazy git for not sewing up a bath towel and attaching velcro straps to it and wrapping it round my arm for the night (yes folks that is what consultant said....I kid you not).
Now I have a proper padded splint and am about to start rubbing chilli cream into my hand..and dipping my hand in lentils, pasta, rice..to de-sensitise it......let's not go there
Wednesday...top totty,:drool::drool: ...more piccies taken:D.......garden levels sorted out :j:j...all topsoil removed and now looks like swimming pool is about to be built in my back garden ...unfortunately bridge knocked down in process
Oh dear...CharliePiggie has ringworm....cue massive decontamination of whole colony _pale__pale_:wall::wall::wall:
This week...phone hasn;t stopped ringing........for new clients/work........next week til end of August will now be working like a maniac......but means a massive injection of funds :j:j:j
Horace and KC both...hope you are recovering from your respective poorly circumstances...big hugs to both :grouphug::grouphug:
Ombudsman complaint.....insurance money finally reached my account on monday this week.:j..now MUST get complaint in by end of month...kick me very hard if I don;t please peeps
Tonight...piggies in ark....me and Numpty have wellies by our beds.......fingers and paws all crossed (if it floods all my levels in the back garden will be fooked)
Back tomoz.....thank you everyone for posting ...WILL reply to you all...over next few days

:hello: Hiya! Thanks for good wishes .... I was wondering how you were.... how nice that Numpty's still with you, excellent news. And good news on your hand too. And the work - boy, there's a lot of good news in that there update. Wondering about your flooding tho, in those really stormy showers we've been having, and there was a *lot* of thunder here last night.
I've definitely just about mended - felt pretty much human yesterday, and still feel human today, two weeks after the lurgy claimed me. I have to go work in London today, and:o:o I'm taking disinfectant so I can swipe round some of the most-touched hard surfaces where I work, to avoid swine flu infection. There's only me and my local partner working there on Fridays, so its not quite as mad as it sounds - its just that, having been ill, and seeing that I'm heading off to France next Tuesday for a week, I *really* don't want to get sick. We're travelling by car today, so I won't have to use public transport either, which is really good news.
Which means ... I'm back in a state where I can think about such things, yay! And I have virgin cable now, not phoneline broadband, so I can go ahead with other plans. Yay! When I get back from France, I'm gonna be on a roll!:dance::dance:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
The Bridge :eek::eek: You're marooned???
How was your rain last night???? Ours was humungous, lots of lightening too. Oh I do hope you haven't had a landslip :eek:0 -

Not marooned Olive....just lost one of the handrails as it was knocked out while the lads were reversing the trailer in and out to take awy the top soil.
We got off lightly last night......bit of thunder and lightning..(we were out in the worst of it bringing piggies into the Ark)......then bit of heavy rain.......but all over by midnight and stream behaved perfectly :T.....and the groundworks/levels are still intact as well (and not full of water....which is a shame really as an impromptu swimming pool for a few days would have been quite novel ):rotfl::rotfl:Flooded 20/07/07.

Well I hope you avoid the weather up here. Torrential rain all day. Very stiff wind. More standing water around than I've ever seen (though I've only been here for 10 years). Loads of flooding on the weather report.
I went a different way out of work to avoid a flood, and ended up driving though a 8 inch puddle...
Never mind, the six inch puddle I went through this morning was down to about 4 inches.
Small mercies eh?"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
