I may have a DFW excuse for popping into Wols next weekend - if I go that way round the M25 I don't pay the toll........

And if top totty is on view, oooooh the temptation. :rotfl:

I knew that visiting Wol's diary would cheer me up today because I have had a hellish time. Logged off yesterday and went to the hairdressers and discovered there that my appointment was booked for next week but they actually did my hair yesterday:j Got home from said hairdressers after waiting for half an hour for a bus (it was raining) and decided to put the kettle on - no power, no television, no answermachine, no laptop only flipping lights. Well I followed landlords instructions and switched everything off set the trip back to normal and then plugged everything back in then bang off the power goes again and I cannot switch it back on:mad: Had to have chip shop chips and a battered sausage for dinner and the only drink I had was lucozade (eww). Landlord's chappy came out and we went through the rigmarole again and then he left then as soon as I plugged something in bang off went the power - I rang landlord who sent his chappie back. It turns out that I had faulty wiring:mad: Its all fixed now but I have had to buy more milk because it had turned to cheese in the fridge, I had to chuck away half the freezer contents and tonight dinner is going to be beef stew and lamb chops:rolleyes:

 Horace, you poor thing! Does your landlord have insurance you can claim against, or maybe claim directly against him?

I havent broached that with him - I tried to claim on my own insurance to be told by More Than (their jobsworth) that I didnt have a policy with them at which point I asked why had I paid them £147.13 last August for contents insurance? It was such a rigmarole - ring this number ring that number that I have given up I really can't be bothered although I must admit I did answer their customer survey with a few choice words.:rotfl:
