_pale__pale__pale_ Okay, I never found that part of your diary. Thats dreadful, Wol, I'm so sorry to hear that. Do you have any idea of any complementary types of treatment that might help, like acupuncture?
Hi KC
I think it was all in my first diary which Piglet started for me just after I got out of hospital....I developed something called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy just after the op.....basically the nerves on the top of my hand and fingers are now hypersensitive (even to clothing/bedclothes).....shaking hands is a nightmare.....my circulation will suddenly stop with no warning.......and I can't delve into my handbag or put my hand in the compost bag. In addition I developed some nasty adhesions which have trapped the nerves and tendon sheaths The massaging was meant to break these down to release the tissue but actually seems to have made it worse.....
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=975983
As far as other therapies are concerned......if exercise and stretching don;t work in the longer term reference mobility.....I might have to resort to more surgery to release the tissues from the adhesions...but given that I tend to form bad adhesions/scar tissue in reponse to any type of surgery..(apparently my mum is the same)......I will think very carefully before going that route.
However your suggestion about acupuncture is worth a follow-up in terms of its potential for treating the RSD. Thanks KC :TFlooded 20/07/07.

Oooh Wol, I can see why you had difficulty prising Olive from the window, they're gorgeous:cool: Now why can't I meet some hunks like that?
Mind you I do feel sorry for the chap in the middle of the shot as he has the most awful birthmark on his shoulder
As Karma has said acupuncture may help and even the healing powers of Reiki (I know people think that Reiki is a hippy treatment, it seems to work, I love Reiki).
I think that when you see the consultant - lay it on the line you are not happy and are still having problems with simple things. Maybe you should also have a look at some disability living allowance as you have an impairment that has a lasting effect on your every day life.
Enjoy the hunks today (unless you have given them the day off).0 -

:drool: can I just confirm how hunky these chaps are
Wol2 has had to pick the most discreet of the photos of these chaps but I'm sure she can arrange a private viewing of her extensive collection of photos (5 disks worth so far wasn't it? :rotfl:) for any of you ladies......
I'd like to add that every skilled craftsman I've ever needed has been elderly, wizened and well short of the eye candy that Wol2 has acquired :rotfl:
Thanks a million Wol - I'm back safelyand that was the most brilliant interlude that I've had for a long time. And impromptu too

Karma - thanks for pointing out that the birthmark may in fact be a tattoo - now why didnt I think of that? How do you do those multiple quote thingies?
Olive - I am glad you had a lovely time at Wol's. I don't get dishy workmen either, my washing machine repair man is an acquired taste plus he has builders bum which makes me feel quite sick:eek: One day I will venture to sunny East Grinstead to see the extensive photo album:D0 -
Horace, they were tattood, I thought you had realised but were making a joke
And the one who had a builders bum, had nice buns
My Pa has been tracing the family tree, and was rather pleased to find a link between a couple of branches, namely one Horatio something, he said what a name to be calling a child in for tea with. I said "I know a Horace", then realised where, and lamely continued "but she's a girl and I think it is only a nickname......":rotfl:

No problem on the tatt!
Erm .... I don't understand how to use the multiquote button myself:o I just type in the html - you use [ ] and [/ ] - the square brackets, basically, and the word "quote" for quoting
then in the last bracket you put the forward slash. Or people just press the quote button once and use a different colour in bold for their own responses. Its quicker!
