    Hi Wol,

Spent last couple of days going through your thread and you are absolutely amazing. I don't think I'd have come out from under the duvet.

The piggies are gorgeous. I can't believe one wee beastie made such a mess of your hand though...will it eventually heal?

I'll leave you to get on with Mellors & Co. Enjoy.

    Hi kissjen

Thanks for reading through the diary........I couldn't do it without the support and encouragement of the DFW's here....they're all amazing and I've made some really good friends...:T:A:j.without them I think I would have thrown in the towel in Nov 07:o

I am starting to wonder if the hand will ever heal properly. .the last visit the doctor I saw was not interested in anything other than the fact my fingers could all move..(= success) and that I might be allergic to E45 cream. I stopped the massaging after that visit as it just seemed to exacerbate the adhesions/scarring/inflammation and things have settled down now but the hand and fingers are now very stiff and restricted.I keep them mobile with the ironing, gardening, piano playing etc and do exercises each day to stretch the ligaments and tendons and increase mobility......but I still can't perform delicate finger and thumb type operations (such as get change out of my purse, sewing etc,) my wrist is still weak and the sensitivity in my fingers is gone so I drop things like plates and cups.

I have a sign off visit with the consultant tuesday week..but as I have not seen the same doctor twice in the whole year since this happened....I'm not really expecting any useful input.:(

Next step will be to go private and see a hand specialist...but not until after I've sorted out the house and saved enough money to enable me to take the time off from the business

Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.....

_pale__pale__pale_ Okay, I never found that part of your diary. Thats dreadful, Wol, I'm so sorry to hear that. Do you have any idea of any complementary types of treatment that might help, like acupuncture?
