Hugs to Mudbath, so sorry to hear about your cat.

The lurgy seems to have settled firmly on my chest so not much flying today. Just riding out the backlash after my sudden resignation yesterday. Still more than confident I did the right thing though. Indeed I'm more disturbed by the discovery that my Stardrops shop no longer sells it - Gryfon have you spotted it for sale anywhere on the island (other than Safeway).

I completed my tax form within 40 minutes of the postman delivering it which must be some kind of record. Only because they owe me about £740 which is best off in my pocket rather than theirs.

Now off to referee 45 kids - I would throw a sickie but my Son insists he's going and anything for a peaceful life. Also a few of his autistic friends attend with him and I need to keep an eye on them. It's such a good opportunity for them to attend a mainstream youth group.

Have a good evening everyone and happy flying.

My M.A.C.A.W challenge this week is..............go to bed before 11pm at least 3 times! So far: 1/3 :)

Crikey, I'm really struggling with todays list - my hands and shoulders hurt from scrubbing the oven (but not my neck which is a god-send) and feel like I'm getting no-where even faster than before with the rest of the list :(

DD1 (10) is making hotpot for dinner and it's in the oven now, which is nice. I've decided that now is about the time to start teaching proper home-making skills so she'll know plenty when she moves out :rotfl:.

Fingers crossed I shall get more 'list' done while they're eating/when they go to bed as I've decided I can't watch CSI if the oven door isn't spotless.

I've been using a brillo pad for an hour now

Try an ordinary metal scourer. They're better than brillo pads.

Mudbath - sorry to hear about your cat ((((hugs)))

:o Do you mean those twisty metally looking things? I only have tesco value brillo pads in at the moment, so I'm stuck with them for now, but I may get a proper scourer for future use (not that I'll let it get this bad again *)

    Thank you :)

Muddy's challenge - go and brush your dog / cat, get rid of those loose hairs so they don't end up all over your house. If you don't have a pet then make that phone call you've been putting off or fill in that form you've been meaning to do for ages!

i made OH make a phone call - to cancel some unnecessary additional payments on our car insurance - does that count? :D
