hello all, not much flying today coz my washer died!
i have spent all day shopping for a new one, it's coming on thursday, so i've had to put the baby in huggies coz i've got no way to wash my nappies arrgggg, and i have a full bucket :(
i am just off to clean the cooker, i have got a thingy of mr muscle  evil stuff but hopefully it'll work. i had planned on getting a man into do it but just spent the money i'd saved up on a washer.
    hhc 3:15-3:45 anyone?
  • Triker - how strange - maybe we were separated at birth!!
We had cottage pie yesterday done in sc then finished off in oven hence the two soaking dishes- though she does eat that under sufferance.
Will tidying things at work count as part of our dailies??!!

    You betcha :D .

Managed to get a biggie 'job to be done' done which was to get the tyres replaced on my car. :j Especially important with the weather and road surfaces 'specially first thing in morning and last thing at night.

Mudbath sending special healing cat vibes for your pud. Hope she's ok and the vet can halt/remove the cancer.

Orkneystar, don't be a stranger, 'spect you'll be on Oldstyle anyway so see you around the boards hun. xx

  • My antibiotics have kicked in and I feel better than I have done since before Christmas. I've had loads of energy for flying today:
Cleaned skirting boards in living room.
    Shampooed living room carpet.
Repaired scatches on wooden furniture with fabulous new furniture scratch pens.
Painted over scuffed and damaged paintwork in living room.
    Made soup.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in. :D

I've finished my list. The house is looking pretty much as it was pre-op days which is good. It's amazing how quickly it's got back to normal and just shows doing a bit a day helps you keep on top of it.

A huge, huge thanks for all your support with our pud. Sometimes I wish I wasn't an animal lover!!! I've got to break the news to our children in about ten minutes. My son will burst into tears and my daughter will just be gutted - she reads to her guinea pig and the cat every night. Anyway, we still might have a bit of time left as our last cat with cancer survived 9 months.

Lady liberty - we had a cat with diabetes too...it's amazing how quickly you get used to having to inject them isn't it. As you can see we've not had much luck with our cats. We've had four and one was diabetic, two had cancer and the third a brain tumour. I think we are sent the dodgy ones!!!

I now need to find my debit card to go to the dentist with the children and then go to the vet to get the pud.

When I come back i'm going to help the children sort out all of the games and then we're going to play rapid-dough (sp?).

Orkney - you'll be missed but I agree your son is more important than cleaning. We've spent the last few nights watching footage of the children when they were younger. They grow up so fast and if you miss that now you won't get it back...cleaning on the other hand is there for ever! Hugs to you and I hope you sort your back (have you tried MBT shoes - completely cured mine!) xx

Muddy's tip - if you've been thinking of getting insurance for a new pet GO AND MAKE THAT CALL RIGHT NOW!!!! So far ours has cost us £350 since November - thank goodness she's insured! We've had her four years so at £10 a month this one illness is going to payback everything we've ever paid out xx
