Thanks Soappie  , he's a happy boy now! We are on the phone to all the tabloids...only kidding! If the story breaks it wasn't from me!
Hope things get sorted with your damp course, sounds stressful, but at least you have caught it early!

I have 2 months (well just) to organise my birthday party!!
2 months to get the house spotless!!!
(the garage is done to harbour all the alcohol:D and smokers!)
In preparation for it im going to buy all the singstars for the PS3 and Xbox....cause thats what we done for new years day and it was a great success, I have quite a few people staying and so have bought blow up matresses and i already have a single bed foldy thingy!! I am hoping that the extension starts in 2 weeks, the kids are going to my folks house so if the extension is done then there will be 5 spare bedrooms, and 2 sitting rooms for peops to sleep in!! Was thinking of a 70's theme, wigs platforms ect......food is going to have to be finger foods.....plus a fry up for the next morning!!........anyone got any good ideas for party games?

If you're doing 70s, you just have to do fondue!

  • People who have asked why I wanted to know: As I said my husband is football mad, and I read him the post about the damp man and that he'd been to a footballers house and he kept saying is it (name of footballer guessed at random)..., no, I shouldn't think they live in the 4th most...is it (name of footballer guessed at random)...is it...
you get the idea. I could see it going on all evening, and he didn't seem to realize that I didn't actually know!
So that's why I asked, nothing sinister, I hate the papers which have nothing better to do than write about the minutiae of people's lives (this is my own opinion please don't sue me!), don't read them, and certainly wouldn't give them any info!
Anyway, explanation over! Night all, am missing QI while writing this so going to get back to it.

Quite a busy day here, weekly shopping done, and bathroom to level three.

    Then I kinda lost interest...:o

I spent a while doing some investigation of a new exam I'm supposed to be doing this year, and supervised DS1 cooking fajitas for dinner (yum - very good cook, rubbish at washing up...). I've just been looking at gites in Provence for May halfterm...

Off to have a cup of tea I think, and some rubbish on tv - well, it's Friday!

Tomorrow and Sunday I have to clear the livingroom of most of its contents ready for new carpet on Tuesday. Not entirely sure where it's all going, but suspect it will be impossible to walk around my bedroom for the next week! Good opportunity to declutter some of the older books, and unnecessary paperwork.

ps mumoffour - if you don't know about cheese fondue, then you're definitely too young to have one at your party!! Maybe you should go for the 80's instead!!
