I'll second this....and we'll always do something flyladyish and post that too. That means our houses will be even more clean as we'll have to fly if we want to chat....

And for that I emptied the kitchen bin into the outside bin!! xx

I agree, Dustykitten, I have looked at other threads but they don't seem as friendly as this was, if there cannot be any chat I am afraid I will go back to my old ways of watching rubbish daytime tv and doing the housework when it does actually jump up and bite me on the bum!!!!

on topic........done nothing!!! must go dry dishes and put them away!!!!

Muddy's challenge: we've not had one of these for a while so.....it's time to declutter. Either pour that last glass of wine from the bottle and make sure you recycle the bottle or light a smelly candle, or use up some of those toiletries that you've got a squidgy bit left in the bottom. If you can't do any of these then throw something away or into a charity bag xx

I've found loads of bottles of stuff that can pretend to be mositurisers or body lotion - everything from last years sunscreen (lots of aloe vera) to Johnsons baby lotion (my DS is 6 and its been in his cupboard since he was 18months). Now organised and available - will that do?

Toots - lovely post! And you have done flying - big yourself up, don't big yourself down!
Mudders - nice about the cat - as long as she's eating chicken, she's still ready for this world! After all - wouldn't you eat chicken in preference to mackerel?

Rach - you'd actually be surprised about the message I left. I did not don my special rottweiler type personality that I adopt for certain meetings ;) , I was dumb blonde personified and just asked if he'd forgotten me. .... Well done you on going to the bargain areas. Wishing you good fortune on there!

Indigo - I'm a tad late - but currently wishing you Aunt Flo good behaviour vibes along with a stunning personality and demeanor so you get things done at that meeting of yours.

The damp man arrived in the end. His excuse was brilliant and totally acceptable. He'd gone to what was supposed to be a 20 minute appointment in the fourth most valuable property area in the world to the house of a well known footballing personality and ended up there two hours. The place, albeit being worth around £10 million or so, is riddled with damp! :rotfl:

Homespun - your hubby was spot on - tell him from me he knows his job! And that I thank him.

Diagnosis is rising damp due to a failing damp course. Apparently I could leave it if I wanted. But I don't want. It'll only end up being more work later - particularly if it travels outside the bay window area. He's going to send me an official estimate and I'll look to getting it sorted in the next month or so. They need to knock off the plaster, put some new damp course stuff down and replaster. He reckons it'll be about £500 which, to me, is OK. It'll certainly be far, far cheaper than the bill at the place he was before!

Flying wise - shopping has all been put away. Venision stew is just about ready. I have helped my nice neighbour declutter by getting rid of a bit of Gordons. I'll put the BM on shortly but the leek and potato soup will wait until tomorrow - I can do it to coincide with lunch time.

  • And seriously now = Flying's taken a back seat this last week but cracking on now. Hoping to finish another 3 loads of WM/TD before bed and then catch up ironing tomorrow.

Ebaying - I've found stuff and will have a listing frenzy tomorrow!

    Otherwise tomorrow is
    Dailies
    Ironing
Meal planning & move freezer contents from one to the other
    Ebay listings
and biggy - *UNDERSTAIRS CUPBOARD* - I may be some time.....

    Moam

Ooooh and another thing I remember the damp man said was that properties of my age (104 years) were built to last. Modern builds have a design life of 60 years... That, to me, is scarey!

Potatoes on and cooking to mash to go with venison stew.

I've actually managed to do something today! Went to my mum's and got lots of advice on managing my finances, which will be very helpful.
Felt well enough when I got home to wash up, and before I left I hung out some washing and put the clothes airer in front of the heater.

Did anyone else see Diagnosis Murder? What a complicated plot line!!!

Soappie - my football obsessed husband would like to know where the fourth most valuable property area in the world is, and who the well known football personality is. He keeps trying to guess and it's driving me mad!
