lol soappie - I wish we'd got to know each other better when I lived there, I think we'd have got on outside of meetings! I am the one who asks all the awkward questions in our work meetings :D. I know exactly who you're talking about and where they live and I bet froddy does now too!

I think the thing with chat is that it's not that chat is intrinsically bad but when the thread's so popular it ends up being just chat if we're not careful and then it doesn't serve its purpose...just my observations! I've been on here several years and this comes up from time to time, it will settle down into a happy medium again soon, sometimes we all just need a reminder to rein us in!

Had fun on the wii fit this evening, DH typically is trying to reach perfection on the football game!

To remind me for tomorrow, as well as Pigpen's list for today which I'll do tomorrow I need to:

    pay car tax
    mealplan
    shop
    empty bins
    wash towels & cloths

  • Hi,

Hope everyone's well. Today I've done laundry & lots of errands. Am off to bed now. See you tomorrow!
  • Still wide awake... :(

I have also been shopping today, cleaned the downstairs loo thoroughly and fitted a new coir mat to our entrance... we only had laminate down, and I was given a big roll of matting which I have had to set into the laminate by taking some of the laminate up, cutting the edges, removing the underlay and then laying the mat into the hole made, as otherwise the front door wouldn't have opened... :)

Here's my likkle Max enjoying the fruits of my labour... (ignore the chewed bit of wall above his head - they get peckish... The legs are my lump Toby...

And how my hallway looks now I have washed everything down and laid the mat... (HATE the doors in my hall - it's so dark, I want to paint them all white and put glass in my front door to let some light in...)

  • Soappie thanks for your vibes (vibes can transcend time and space, so I am sure they helped!) All was going superbly until my DS (who was with me) had a severe allergic reaction to the cat-ness of the flat the meeting was in. So we had to rush home way too soon. Very embarrassing (they don't know how allergic my son is, so they felt awkward, which made us awkward!) and I felt so unprofessional!! DS is all fine now, tucked up in bed snozzing! He takes it all in his stride, bless him.:o

Ooooh and another thing I remember the damp man said was that properties of my age (104 years) were built to last. Modern builds have a design life of 60 years... That, to me, is scarey!

Potatoes on and cooking to mash to go with venison stew.

I didn't know you were 104 yrs old, and still flying!:rotfl:

toochoosey you are not alone in missing all the chat, I have felt less motivated without it, but it is easier to catch up. I'm trying to be very grown up and motivate myself, it still helps to know there are others flying at the same time, and when I do catch up later, it still feels like a chat, kinda!
If I'm hoping for a quick reply to something, it does feel more like there's no-one there anymore! I'm sure we're all thinking of each other still:p
mudbath lillies are my favourite flower (to have in the house) stripes has great taste, getting his nose in there!
toots come back, I know I am new, but I miss you!!!! You made my first couple of weeks so fun. I don't have a social group outside of this, and you made me laugh and feel heard, PLEASE come back!!:heartpuls
triker ((((BIG HUGS)))) hope you feel better soon:A
flower your hallway looks so sophisticated:T maybe i'll see you at 1am , if you can't sleep?

well I have medicated and reassured DS and put him to bed so he can sleep enough to be up in time to go to snooker kids club in the morning, his one chance in the week to socialise with other kids, so very important to him.

am charging his moblie so he can call when he wants to come home

located his wallet + keys for snooker club lockers

am wondering if the forums have really shut down, considering the last post was 11.20pm, and I am on here now reading and posting?! I looked for the message about it, but couldn't see one?
so I hope this posts successfully.....
I'm looking forward to flying while DS is at snooker club (up to 4 hrs):D

:rotfl: must be the angle I took the photo at - it's def not sophisticated... :p
And how did you know I would be up?:D Getting ridiculous now, I went to bed at 10pm and have laid there ever since - switched off computer at 11pm, tossed and turned, hubby came up and is now snoring loudly so I have given up and got up at 1am exactly... you are psychic (must be this thread!)

So, I WAS going to do the bathroom, but then thought I would get on with some paperwork instead - DW is on as we speak and kitchen sides and hob all clean and sparkly... I intend to wear myself out!!! Hubby up at 4.30am for work again (only tonight and tomorrow, he's staying away rest of week) so will probably go back to bed once he's gone... Just listening to the foxes barking outside... bless 'em...

  • Mmmm, can see I'm going to have to watch myself... :rotfl:

Well, I have been sitting here clearing my desk and checking through invoices to allocate to a job - must get that right so we can charge the right money...;)

I have also decluttered a bag of minstrals and a cup of coffee (and I wonder why I can't sleep... )

I feel physically tired, but my brain is on overtime and I am trying to get stuff done while it's working well - seems to be a good plan at the moment, I have even checked my lottery numbers from a ticket I've just found from November (I don't do it very often)... didn't win tho! - so that is decluttered to the bin now...

OK, onwards and upwards - entering more invoices onto new accounts system now - that's mindnumingly boring so I should be asleep in no time...
