That is pretty unfair for a sign saying any bottle! £6.99 must be in the bottom 1/3 of the price range given that at a rough guess the price range would be from £3 to £30?
Personally I think we should take advantage of any offers and slip ups, yes I could be called greedy and uncaring for this attitude, but these companies take advantage of us (profit!!) . Isn't this the entire essence of what this site is about?
I took my bank to court and took £3k off them in returned charges, does that make me a bad person?0 -

Spot on. Before christmas i went to Tesco Calais and got some cases of wine at 6 bottles for £10. Now i know tax and duty is lower in france but some of these wines were on offer in the uk at half price, £3.99. That means at the 'original price' of £7.99, i am saving £38 on each 6 bottle case. Is that really so? I somehow doubt it.0 -

 is this thread still going on?! And I see no-one is any further forward about the actual offer, but still continuing to bicker over Tescos policies, and great CS staff lol
Someone posted that there had been no Tesco employees posting.....maybe because this post is getting extremely boring!! And I really cant be ar$3d arguing my point. And why would we be told to get off the MSE forum? What I do in my own free time is up to me
Anyway with regards to the offer, my store have the offer on, there are currently 2 meal deals running, a £5 one and a £9 one, and these vary store by store.
As for the POS instore it does not state any bottle of wine (in my store) but says a (slight difference)bottle of wine and the way its set out is clear enough; we havent had any customers complaining or arguing over which wine they can have. The red is a merlot and is £4.49, and the white I think is called Lamberti(?) and is £6.99. This is what is in our POS brochure, but by the sounds of it, this seems to vary store by store too? Though I thought the POS brochures would all be the same0 -
Ratty 67 re your post number 134. Surely for the sake of sorting this thread out, you could have picked up any food combination, plus a thirty quid bottle of wine and ran it up the flag pole so to speak? If the wine sale was absolutely refused, you would have then told them you didn't want the food. It would have sorted this post out for the rest of us!
(to be fair, I haven't finished all the posts, so possibly the answer is a little further on.)0 -

Anyone who disagrees with those who are trying to push this offer to the max are on the wrong site, this offer is a perfect example of Martin's ethos legally screwing them back.AKA: PC
