Was just thinking how good they look in clear acatate too, good idea for packaging snowmansoup components or in foil paper they would be a good replacement for christmas crackers almost like fortune cookies

  • I like the acetate ones. Can you get red-tinted but still see-through? Was thinking they'd be nice for Valentine's day filled with Love Heart sweets.
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

Yes you can and in hobbycraft they had clear sellophane with tiny red hearts all over it, you could also add a sprinkle of confetti hearts which would shake about and fall out.
This gives me the idea of putting confetti in my ones for the christmas table onesicon7.gif

Hi Would you please be able to post a link to where I can get this Rabbits face from. Really want to make these for easter presents.

    Thanks
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000
  • I just wanted to say thanks for this post as I think it is a fab way to present gifts etc... Also I looked on ebay for a crimper (to no avail) but when I was in Quality Save today (also know in some places I think as Home Bargains) they had a set in there with a crimper 2 pairs of pinking type scissors and 2 of the cut out stamping type things for £2.99!!!

Got myself one and thinking of doing them for ds's party in a few weeks...

Hi CT, sorry I thought I put it on 1st post (duh me!) It was courtesy of she grinch(thanks)http://chicnscratch.typepad.com/stampinacademy/2008/03/bunny-face.html
I'll go back and add it.
I didn't have any of those punches so just cut the pieces by hand, of course quicker and more accurate with the punches but adds up to quite a bit if your like me and have to buy them all.

They look great strung together as advent but with a nice piece of ribbon. http://procrastistamper.blogspot.com/2007/12/more-ornamentation.html
    or made in vellum too.

Another easy idea for all occassions is to paint old large piece toddler/floor puzzles and drill a small hole in the piece, attach to gift with ribbon.
Primary colours look good for children
White or cream look sophisticated and grown up
Red for valentines (with message reading you are the final /missing piece of my puzzle!)
Black for moody teens! or to have a chalked name
    Metallic look good for christmas
I am going to look for old toddler puzzles on my next visit to the charity shop!

I too love the idea of cellophane/acetate ones - would normal double sided tape be ok to use do you think?
