Hi DC - the sun has gone for today up here - enjoy it while it lasts!

As you say it can do you good to have a 'short' month every now and again to remind us why we are doing this.

Good luck with the cigs, I know how hard that is x x

Sounding very positive there DC :j I agree, the sun makes a whole lot of difference to how I feel too.

Keep at it with the non-smoking....I've never been a smoker so can't say "I know how you feel" but I have tried to give up chocolate in the past :o:confused:

See hypno i don't understsand how you can use the words 'give up' and 'chocolate' in the same sentence. It just doesn't read right to me...

  • Giving up chocolate is just wrong.

Well done on making some changes. Sometimes we just have to change out attitude to money before we can really progress.

I am also impressed by your diy skills, I have no clue about these things. So well done there too.

Like someone else said, keep a look out on freecycle as I too have seen people advertising there old bathroom suite on there, also old kitchen carcasses too...

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • Morning
Few bumps in the road this last week. Tension at work, school trips to pay for, and some definete faffing around on my part. No point dwelling on it, positive attitude just went slightly askew.

Having to put the bathroom in serious hold for at least a year -or two - whilst building up funds for it. I've seen bathroom suites on freecycle, but the bare bones of it is the plaster needs attending to, old pipes have actually been rendered into the walls, it really is a big job.

On the upside, I'm abstaining from alcohol this month and sleeping so much better. Plus a little investigation into the 101 in 1001 challenge has really got me thinking.

Another lurker here too! Have subscribed to your diary - I hope that's ok, as you've been very inspirational in how you've applied yourself to your debt. And I'm originally from your part of the world and am having a think about moving back!
    Overpay!
  • Right well, payday has been and gone. Paid all my creditors at least minimum payments, very little to snowball, freezer/fridge stocked up and mealplan sorted. But the truth is I really am skint again this month. So looking on the upside, I don't have any money, so I can't spend it !

Poorbutrich, getting very busy down here what with olympics 2012, better get moving quick :)
Chev, my diy skills are very limited, never used things like drills in my life (except at school should think the woodwork teacher took early retirement after that experience)...hoping the need won't arise, but okay with a paint brush.

    Olderbutwiser - think I'm on attempt 735 so I'm getting close ?

Still alcohol free. Piggy's I've set up for window cleaning/Tv licence/Car tax are being fed regularly. But struggling to meet savings for utilities bills.

Sold two things on Amazon this week so thats £12 I didn't have. Still not got back into Dooyoo yet though.
Know what I've got to do, just got to keep at it.
Weather looking good, hope you all have good things planned.
