Good Grief, don't say I'm the first one up?
Morning everyone. I've been up since 4am as the rugrat is having difficulty sleeping in her new room all by herself. Hopefully she may settle more when it's all pink and girly and finished
WM on, BM on and I am busy sorting out what I can without waking the rest of the house up. Braising steak is thawing out for tea tonight as I have to finish getting our bedroom arranged and everything put away. It's so lovely to have the big bedroom back to ourselves. First time in nearly 5 years
Hope everyone has a good day.

'Morning Moggins
I've been up for a while - been meandering around the blender and ironing threads
Will have to make a move soon and have a bath, iron a top for work and lay the breakfast table. Just love the luxury of having time to myself to meander around OS each morning. No chance of doing that the rest of the day
Yesterday I made my first ever batch of marmalade. Used seville oranges. I'll definately be doing it again, it tastes lovely - but the jam pan was on the hob for hours! Also made HM mushroom soup and parnsip and apple soup for the freezer.
Have a lovely OS day everyone!Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Morning All
I've also been up since 4am, but that's normal on a work day as I start at 5.30am.
Got my lunch with me, but not had anything for brekkie yet. Might have some fruit in a minute.
Really tired, as I'm working way too much and still trainning. Did 6/7 miles yesterday and about 17 thousand steps throughout the course of the day currently up to 713 steps today in the last hour.
I really need a holiday, but can't leave this place unattended so I'll have to wait till April to get some time off
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
morning moggins, applemint and all to follow,
up at 5.30am here thanks to daddy rather loudly coming home from work and waking all
ah well at least its given me a head start on things i suppose.
bm on,wm on,chops out defrosting for tea tonight, dusting done, washing up done and now im ploughing thrugh the paperwork stuff i started last night.
P_P.........hope you're not here because you've had a good night.
Queenie.......lovely to see you back posting.
Curry-Queen......i've been unable to log in until now but have been reading.....im so glad you sound so happy in your new house-it sounds like it was just what you needed and you sound so much better.hope everything goes well when your son is discharged.and the decorating.... well when we moved in here the old dear before us quite clearly loved fish, birds, palm trees and looked to have last decorated in the 50's!!!! we have been here a year last week and are still getting sorted but tbh thats part down to laziness
,part down to having had 2nd dd in april and part down to trying to be sensible and not do anything until we had the money. you are council right? you are lucky they left you the carpets even if they are horrific....they tore all and i mean all the flooring up here!!! we just had floorboards downstairs and concrete downstairs.
one thing i wanted to check....if you are council....did they give you a decorating grant?? if not you should see if you are entitled......they gave us £300 (to paint/paper,carpet etc the whole house...erm yes right) it certainly helped towards the more immediate things that needed doing such as carpet in the girls room.pm me if you want any more info.0 -
Morning
Been up a few hrs but my broadband is messing around again:mad: terrible night and feel like poo. Just for good measure, my monthly has started a week early...typical!!
Anyways, WM loaded and will be put on in about half hr then hung either outside or on airer. DW half full. Toilet cleaned. All kitchen shiny and clean-OH did this before he went to bed last night(ive had to sleep downstairs last couple of nights as I couldnt make the stairs. DD's lunchbox nearly done, just needs a sarnie (think cheese and salad today for her).
Have the carpenter from Stannah coming today about hand rail, posts etc, so hopefully it wont be long till all fitted in.
OH has a very busy day today. Doing some more of DD's room, going into town and paying cheques in, paying visa bill, going to tesco for a few items and hopefully using some vouchers. Getting my free baguetter, as they ballsed up on my last one and put turkey instead of chicken in it and i hate turkey. He is also spending an hr on his new course and taking DD up town after school to hopefully pick up a Barbie Scooter for niece at £12 from Asda-not her birthday till August but she'll love it, pick up gerbil food etc. He has to fix a mates computer too. Send HSA forms back and get £16 back-he's a busy bee today.
Anyways, Im going to go as I need food.
Have a great day.

Stuck at home today....woke up yesterday and my knee had blown up like a balloon. Then spent 2 hours later on in the day at A&E. Turns out there is nothing obviously wrong, so it looks like I have just pulled or strained something. Not a problem...except it makes it painful to walk on....going up and down stairs and a distinct problem at the moment....and I don't look too graceful either.
As expected Step Daughter's nan had a go at her about the engagement, but her Dad and I were both very good and the day wasn't too bad. The pair of them will sort things out themselves one way or the other. She's made her choice, and now its up to them. I wish them the best of luck.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Hi folks
Been awake since 4:10am. Not a happy bunny. Apparantly I was talking in my sleep/making funny noises and hubby couldn't sleep so he woke me up! Only problem with that is a) if I wake up then I can't get back to sleep and b) I am at work all day and not home until after 6!!!
Lunch all ready for work. Tuna, onion and cheese pitta bread, lemon jelly, yoghurt and some fruit.
List with be left with hubby with jobs that need doing. Bedcovers to be washed, rooms to be hoovered and some ironing.
I am hoping that someone will be out today to fix the boiler. Had been working intermittently but now has packed in altogether.
Have leftover chicken from last night that will be used tonight for dinner. Probably mix with pasta, veg and sauce.
Must go and finish getting ready for work.
Hope everyone has a good day.0
