What vacuum cleaner?

Just my 10 pence.
Hoover is common name and Dyson is a fashion item, I’ve fixed several Dysons but never owned one don’t rate them at all.
We’ve had several vacuum cleaners and my mums Miele is the best no contest, last years, we also have a VAX wet and dry for carpet cleaning pretty good and a Vax G 2400W bag less dreadful don’t touch even the cable gets warm (really warm!) but after the filter is blocked you got to clean it out, my point being next vacuum we buy will not be a bag less all the bag less vacuums I’ve dealt with loose suction rapidly in use.
My mums Miele is over 20years old and its out lasted 4 vacuum cleaners we’ve had in the last 10 years.
Also when I was visiting Miele in Abingdon I asked a few of the staff their honest opinion and they all rated them.
Think its time to change ours again this year.0 -
use what the pros use. the red henry. much cheaper than the miele.
weve had ours for 2 yrs now. brilliant.
i loved the old dyson, but they really are unreliable.Get some gorm.0 -
I would recommend the Henry to,or Hettie in pink if you want a girly one!!!We have one and its superb, not much to go wrong, had one at work for 8 years, hoovering up all sorts, dust, rubble etc and it never went wrong. They are about £99 to so a good price.
Having had a Dyson i would never have one again, useless.

Ben..
Henry George , or ANY of their family!!
We've used them forever , at home & vehicle cleaning.
Don't think they've EVER actually worn out!!
Replaced bits n pieces of hose etc, but that's usually driving over the pipes!!
Got their industrial BIG beastie, for wet n filthy work - had it for 10yrs or more now!!

I would just go for any high powered 18w or above cleaner that is reasonably cheap, over time you will find you save money on vacs. Electrolux and Vax are both good choices.0

Miele - hands down - I love mine!0

I'd recommend a Henry - the bags last for ages (or maybe i don't hoover enough!!) and he's a pretty tough little thing.
We got ours for about £98 in John Lewis but since then i've seen them in Homebase for about £80.
Only cons are:
it's a little on the heavy side &
not a easy to store due to it's round shape.
Would never have another Dyson. As many others have mentioned, mine was rubbish!0 -
Am thinking of a Henry - does it have automatic rewind? Thanks0
