    should have bought the 10" EEEEEEEE

    i'm hoping to get myself a mini netbook when i hit NYC as a second laptop...

    i have over 1000 photos of NYC somewhere, and i really need a weekend to get them organised and sorted!

    i just found out that i am being whisked off to new york on thursday - i have found this thread interesting and have been reading up on it all afternoon.
    there's only one question i need answering which i haven't found out about yet.

    whats the tipping etiquette in new york?, i know its expected, but how much etc as i certainly dont want to offend!

    I see you stopped at the Westin hotel at Times Square. I'm going to stop there in December this year from 7th to 14th. What is the Hotel like?

    I did a quick search for you on the original thread and found these http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search.html?searchid=50951527
    There are a few posts on it and you will see that people have different views. We tipped hotel staff, bar staff, table staff in restaurants. I found that some really work for their tips!
    I did come across a few occasions where they had someone in the ladies loo's handing out towels and soap. To honest that made me feel very awkward and I would just get my own hand towel and soap!
