I will go early morning too as might have better chance of getting a picture on the steps as I have heared they dont let you anymore because of the people that live there ( getting annoyed).
You won't be able to sit on the steps as there is a chain and probhibited sign..
You can have a photo just standing outside though0 -
Prices are definitely starting to go up.
Our August one week trip which we booked in late December has gone up from £1500 to over £2000 now.0 -
Just had a thought about getting bac to the airport, so you just stuck your arm out and hope one with enough room for 3 people and 3 cases stops or do you wait until you see one that looks big enough and hope it's not already taken?
Thanks0 -
I think I understand your post.
Just to clarify. If a taxis' centre light is ON then the cab is free so dont put your arm out if the light is OFF. I have found in my experience that some time they will come to you if they see you outside hotel with cases as not all will want airport fares. At some hotels (the bigger ones) they sometimes will sit outside and wait for people. A standard cab will fit 3 suitcases no problem.
If you were concerned about getting a cab you can prebook a private car which our hotel ( New yorker) said that it was about $70.
The cabs change shift at 5pm though so its something to bear in mind if you wanted to leave around then as we did when I went last year and were slightly concerned about getting to the airport however got a cab no problem.New York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.

Can anyone tell me is there a charge for checking in 1 bag into the hold on a flight to Newark, with Continental.
I am travelling early March and I booked my flights in July.I have read conflicting reports see here : -
http://www.cheapflights.com/airlines/Continental-Airlines/#airline_checkin
i intend to check in online and want to be sure.....0 -
If you are travelling from Europe to USA with Continental then there is no charge for your first bag and then $45 for a second bag if you pre-pay when booking online, or $50 if paid at the airport.
However, if you are travelling, First Class, Business Class, or on a full fare economy (Y) ticket - then you will not be charged for a second checked bag.0 -

Morning
Not sure how many Century 21's there are, but I would say worthwhile going there when you go to the statue of liberty as there is one down town near the world trade centre site. You will be able to save on your cab fare too!
TOTR is amazing have you bought tickets? I recommend viewing as the sunsets
Maybe on the monday as you are going to C park worthwhile going to a museum? Its nearby

My only comment would be about cabs...why not get a subway card and use that its far cheaper and a better way to travel.0
