    Evening all.

Can I just say that I can’t believe how fast three years have gone by, and I’ve even been stupid enough to signup for (and run) a third challenge.

Quick apology. Lost sight of this challenge in recent weeks as I’ve started to get the third one off the ground. Many thanks for sticking with it over these last three years. I’ve mopped up a few “lost” updates for chart 11 this evening before copying chart 11 data across to chart 12.

Some of you have met or exceeded your objectives, some are tantalisingly close to being where they want to be, and yes, some of you haven’t got to where you want to be. But look at it this way, you’re all much better off than a great number of people who either don’t know they can overpay on their mortgage or choose not to overpay on their mortgage for whatever reason.

I think we’re in for another four or five tough years before the economy gets out of neutral/reverse and starts moving forwards again.

So, I’ll get off my soapbox and get on with the charts :D

It’s a pleasure (and a relief) to be able to publish the final chart in this challenge:
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?hl=en_GB&hl=en_GB&key=0AnhcWfGMRVgddGtzMTdvS1VnNXUwakpPc3NjZzRHMVE&single=true&gid=49&output=html

I’ve also updated the “Who’s updated” chart:
    https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=tks17oKUg5u0jJOsscg4G1Q&single=true&gid=3&output=html

    And the chart summary chart:
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?hl=en_GB&hl=en_GB&key=0AnhcWfGMRVgddGtzMTdvS1VnNXUwakpPc3NjZzRHMVE&single=true&gid=4&output=html

I’ll also update the links at the start of this thread.

Usual disclaimer - anything incorrect, please PM me or use the update form again and I'll pick up.

I’ve got a bit of work to do on the mortgage free roll of honour chart – this is because I forgot to update this after chart 11 like I said I would and now needs two charts worth of attention…

And because it’s almost Christmas, if anyone has missed a particular chart for any reason, say you missed out from updating chart 09 and otherwise you have an unblemished update record, feel free to PM me with your challenger number, the chart you want me to update and the balance it should be and I’ll get that sorted for you.

And if you haven't done an update, please do so!

Finally, just thought I’d point out that if you’re joining us for the third challenge (MFiT-T3), any balance supplied for chart 12 here won’t automatically update the third challenge - they are separate google docs spreadsheets, so a manual update will be needed there for a starting figure.

Thanks again everyone and well done to you all.

Just sent my update through again as it wasn't picked up before :(

£1998 o/s. Not bad as we bought the accidental house and equity has therefore increased a lot :D.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

Just to say thank you so much for all the hard work Financial Bliss and congratulations to everybody.

I am no. 160 and there is a mistake in my final figure, unfortunately it is £94507 not the £64507 recorded on the final chart! Still I am very pleased with what we have achieved and hope to clear the rest in the next challenge - a much bigger challenge now we have a baby!
  • Wow £4,700,000 repaid in this challenge - what an incredible result!

Well done everyone and once again thanks FB !

ninky #86 here. Haven't posted or updated for a while but I have a decent excuse. Got diagnosed with cancer (breast) and have had to give up work for a while to concentrate on treatment. I feel extremely glad I have a flexible mortgage with a reasonable savings pot so we are coping. But paying off is neither priority nor possible right now.

Well done to all those who complete the challenge.

((Hugs)) couldn't read and run. Hope your treatment is going well and you're soon on the road to recovery. xx

  • @ninky - sorry to hear that. Hope you're responding well to treatment. There's been many people drop of for various reasons over the three years - thanks for taking the time to login.

@everyone else - I've altered chart 12 as per the form updates that have come through. I've also spotted the update from uzubairu, which I've applied.

I'll be continuing to log in to google docs over the coming days and weeks as I apply updates to the T3 challenge - please continue to update if you're able to do so, as I will also be checking this challenge.

    Thanks,
