Updated via google docs but have to share with you all as you are the only ones likely to know how I'm feeling

I am now mortgage free - the outstanding balance is ZERO. Just have to pay the closure fee on the 1.10 (ERC's if I close before then) and I'm at journeys end.

Good luck with your own journeys, thanks to FB for the record keeping and to you all for the companionship and keeping me motivated along the way

    Well done!!!!!!!!!
  • Just up dated my balance is £900.:j
  • 189 - the end of the rainbow

    New mortgage balance is £1883.

Started the challenge at £107,243 so a massive £106,060 paid off.

Would have been mortgage free at the end of next month BUT now buying another house and will have a staggering £400,000 mortgage to go with it!

Disappointed in a small way as I won't get to have that 'mortgage free' feeling!!!

So it looks like I will be joining you all in the next challenge.

As always, huge thanks to FB for running this challenge and offering to take on the next MFIT.

I would think then that you will have an amazing and forever house?? Its a dilemma, reach for the forever house now and enjoy it when the kids are young with a super huge mortgage or wait and save and buy it without a mortgage in 10 years time after working yourself into the ground and the kids will not get the best of it... We have decided to take a year out enjoy being mortgage free, have another baby and reconsider our options, it looks like the banks would lend us about that amount but I'm not sure I have the guts to go there. I think we could get a lovely house with a £200k mortgage??? well what we want anyway which is basically some land for the pony! anyway good luck to you
