  • Ok. Haven't forgot about this challenge.

Had I got a post in before midnight, I could have informed you that we have just 100 days left in this challenge, but make that 99 now.

I'll be using a balance of £2,175 as my own September chart value - haven't checked but I may actually be 'green'.

  • Hi everyone

Just updated via google docs with a total of £100,346.87. If I could have waited a few more days, the scheduled overpayment of £550 should have got the total down to below £100,000 which was our target, but I can wait until the final update in December!

Just need to decide on a reasonable target for the next challenge - could we get under £50,000 in the next 3 years.....

Well done to everyone and best wishes

    Updated :).

    Starting balance 68,415
    Target 0
    Current balance 9,455

Currently estimated to be 4,125 behind at the end :(. But this is not taking into account the extra 2,600 I'll be paying to clear btl mortgage so that's only 1,525 behind. There will probably be some of my bonus to go towards that, let's say 750. That leaves 775. There will be excess rent coming in from my btl, say 360. That leaves 415. There will be some excess rent from other btl's. That will clear it :). Except for the small matter of repairs being done at the mo, say 400, plus 400 to Spanish bank account for top up, plus holiday spends, plus Jan holiday, plus flights for next year. Will be around 2-3k short. But seeing the goal posts got moved due to the accidental house purchase I'm pretty chuffed with that :D.

    Well done everyone :T.

Just ran my numbers so I could provide the update. I have submitted a figure of £10357.19 owing. I have repaid £42499.40 which is 92.39% of my target. I then thought that I may not reach my target :( until I realised that although my final payment to be included will be 26th November, that still gives me 3 more payments so I should be over target :j.
Although I'll still have 5 payments to make after the challenge finishes before we are mortgage free. Never mind eh?
    Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.
    MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.
    2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.
  • Just updated via google docs £151853 against a target of £150000.

As normal monthly repayment pays off £500 a month just need to find £353 by the end of the challenge to meet target. Normally over pay an extra £410 a month on top of this but DH car just been written off by a deer!! so need to keep all extra money towards new car

Looking forward to the new challenge & getting mortgage below £100k during the next 3 years

Thanks FB for all of you hard work & every one for posting & helping keep me motivated
