  • Our building work is behind schedule which means more money is still in the offset as they're not invoicing the final payment yet, but loads of hassle as it was supposed to be finished before OH was back from his Op tour in Afghanistan. But he's back safe, and it's a little less interest we'll pay on the mortgage.

Never again will I take on project managing and contributing to a building project!

  • Tax rebate of an enormous £31.48. Every little helps!

Should get a refund from last year and the year before, too, to make up for the fact they made me pay an extra £567 last year that I didn't really owe... It'll all come out in the wash!

well, we've just signed the paperwork to take on another £180k for our new house we're buying. I'm going to just focus on the original mortgage for this challenge, but will look forwards to another big push in the next three-year challenge.

It's amazing, we could never have even considered this house without the overpayments we've done. And we'd never have managed that without the support of this site. Feel so good about it all. Thank you
29/01/07 - Took on our first home for £225k, mortgage of £200,700, reduced to £70,224.44 in 6yrs

I am hoping for a reduction based on my last figures just gone into HMRC but every time I think that they seem to find that I owe them just a little bit more!
