Oh so sorry, another late post. My figure for 12/6/12 is £201,261. Can't wait to get under the £200K mark - will have extra money early July so will achieve next month.

I’ve also pledged to run a third three year challenge and I’m fully intending to go ahead with that.

I know this sounds really pathetic but I am so chuffed at the thought of you carrying on and supporting us with the next leg.

It just won't be the same without you on the MFW threads when you do achieve your goal :o. There are plenty of regular posters here that I will miss hearing from when they eventually achieve their goal. Damn selfish of them if you ask me.

Although I'd started OP'ing before I found the MFW board - I know that without it, I wouldn't have OP'd half as much as I have. I absolutely have to credit a lot of my 'success' so far to people like you FB. When I do eventually become MF I shall be raising a glass to you and everyone else who has supported / motivated / advised / informed me on here.

Infact FB, I think that when you do become MF, you should do the decent thing and host a huge BBQ at your fully paid for home for all of us who've travelled with you on this journey :D Am sure your wife and neighbours would be fine with 200 real-life strangers turning up and camping out.....

Just updating now for this month, sorry!

Remaining balance on the main mortgage = £103013.57, so easily on track to get below £100k by 12/12/12 and looking forward to the next three year challenge.

Can I add my thanks to FB for keeping us all going, especially planning the next challenge for us already.

    Best wishes to all

Gosh it looks like FB may in part be responsible for a lot of people's trips to Florida! We also managed that this Easter, having talked about it for years. :D

I'm really disappointed that we haven't hit the green for the first time, but it's still a nice big chunk that's come off.

We have a very long way to go to be MF, so I will be very happy indeed if FB does continue to put in his hard work with all his lovely Google docs. :T

    Thanks again.

we are going in april but we are splashing out a bit (staying in disney resort) for 10nights, then 4 nights cayman islands and that was £7.5k not including park tickets or food tho. I think if we had just done 14 nights in florida it would have been similar cost. Its for my hubbys 30th so if we ever go again it will definitely be more budget!!
Mortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!
Now just over 2 years we have taken on the challenge again! )(starting £237k Nov 2014) Current mortgage £232,399.82, current overpayment total £1550, years remaining= 17

Our accommodation, flights and car hire cost £10.5k for 9 of us. We have spent £100 on passports, £50 on insurance, £900 on Universal, Sea World, Busch Gardens and Aquatica tickets, Kennedy Space centre tickets and a Pirates dinner adventure for the evening which will be my neices birthday.
On top of that, we will need spending money. I'm starting to get quite excited now though!
