Are you actually part of this challenge anyway under a different name as I can't see your name on the list and don't recall you having posted before - just wondering

    DT

As a lurker who watches the thread for inspiration and will join the next one, I have read through the list three times to check and the troll isn't on the challenge at all.

FB your input is amazing and you should ignore any further posts from that troll.

Fantastic work everyone in their challenge and particularly FB (and Maz?) for the hard work put in on a voluntary basis.

All the best and back to lurkdom,

    Hey ya'all

I will report in my totals through the update form.
For the first time in this challenge my balance has increased but...
    We are off to Florida.:j
FB, there is no way without having signed up to this challenge that this could have happened. The challenge you initially set yourself became our challenge too, and although we might not quite get over the line (we'll get as close as we can), it has allowed us to be in a position where this type of extravagance is occasionally possible. So we will meet the mouse, scoff the 46" pizza and cycle (or segway - it is America!) around to our hearts content. You contributed to that family picture.

Thanks again FB and well done to everyone. Well almost everyone - you know who you are.

    Someday Soon

I really like that post :D

I committed myself to 12/12/12 or before and during these final 3 years, this challenge has helped me focus and you have all helped me along.

Has been an especially busy week this last week - I've had training at work, I've done two bike rides - 42 and 22 miles, plus Mrs Bliss has put a fair amount of time into doing some research for Florida this week, so yes - my laptop time has been less than usual. I also work in IT and don't always want to get home and immediately fire up a PC again:rotfl:

So, thanks all for sticking with me and great news there on Florida someday soon!

Black Taxi as ive said i appreciate everything FB is doing and i wish someone else would back me up but all i mean is last twice we have waited when we have all put our figures in and waited impatiently, i wasnt expecting figures midnight 12th i just mean i have noticed a decline slowly and now FB has said figures 13th or 14th and now 15th we are still waiting, fair enough all done voluntarily and good on him i just mean i notice his enthusiasm is waning and a lot of people do sit and wait for the updates. No he is not paid and i will reiterated its all done by the goodness of FB updating but day 3 people are waiting no new about bike rides kids needing attention, throwing towels in etc etc etc i just mean someone can take over if he comes on and says enough is enough, he is nearing end himself and most likely cant be bothered has more important issues, and hey he can blame me for POLLUTING his blog and putting him off but come on 100s of people waiting by his every word - not actually me!

Wow, not been on for a couple of days and we have our very own troll - brilliant!!
While your getting your rocks off posting your rubbish, we will all be laughing at you as we continue to get even more control of our finances. Enjoy reading about it.

OK. What’s your issue here then?

I work full time, I’ve a wife and two kids. Keeping a roof over my head and supporting my family are my primary goals.

I’ve also an interest in clearing my mortgage early, thus my interest in this MFW sub-board and the MFiT challenge I’m running. I’ve also pledged to run a third three year challenge and I’m fully intending to go ahead with that.

As it happens, I had daughter issues on Wednesday and didn’t get around to putting chart 11 out.

Wife was on laptop last night, so I fired up our ancient desktop. After a massive amount of windows updates, flash, Firefox etc, I decided I didn’t want to wait all night for it to apply the updates and turned in.

This evening I got in late – left to cycle home at 8pm.

OK, I’m a few days late, but I expect I’ll get chart 11 done on Saturday now. Not even sure why I’m justifying myself to you. If you don’t have anything constructive to add, please move on.

    FB.

Hey FB all of us are absolutely appreciative of your efforts to keep this going on our collective behalf. You have absolutely no need to justify your actions to anyone. Big Thanks is all you should be receiving.

As the idea is for us in the challenge to update what our figures are on the set dates in question, I cannot see how the chart updates could be done until the end of the day at the earliest. So it would seem entirely logical that people need to wait for the charts - unless you expect nobody, including fb, to have a job or any commitments in life beyond this website challenge.

All I can say is thanks FB, your efforts are much appreciated.

Hey FB, no need to justify yourself at all. I know exactly what its like, family, work commitments, running (not cycling), and as an accountant, sometimes the last thing I want to do is update a spreadsheet when I get home! You just keep on doing what you do. Those of us who are part of the challenge understand how much of a commitment it is and we don't mind a bit if the updates are not published on the day. After all, we know where we are, we are just being nosy about seeing where everyone else is!

Thanks to being part of the challenge, me and my family were also able to do the whole Florida thing last year. Yes it cost a lot of money but because we had taken steps to make savings in our daily lives we felt able to spend on what was our best holiday ever. We had such a fantastic time and we often find ourselves talking about it and smiling.

Huge thanks for all of your hard work from me. :A:A:A

    I forgot to update!
Very sorry guys for having a big red no by my name, life's been a bit mad here (when isn't it mad in the real world eh?!).
DD has got her cast off now but has a large lump on her arm which will go down in time. She now has to work on building up her muscles so back to piano for her.
I won't put in my updated figures as I'm rather late, they're here in my signature. I will update next time.
Cars have been rather expensive this month £1200 and counting  so the savings have gone down somewhat. Hopefully this will keep them running for another couple of years though.
We're off to Florida 8 weeks today and I can't wait! I've managed to see another few extra shifts at work so they will be paid whilst we are out there but we have got ourselves a nationwide credit card so no need to worry about paying for things there and then it will all be cleared on the billing date in September.
I can't believe we're nearly at the end though!

ETA: I for one massively appreciate all the time you've spent on the spreadsheets and what have you FB, after all, you have been running this challenge for more than 2.5 years and you were also a participating member of the MFi3 challenge too.
