Currently £220 from 12/12/12 target and will be covered with monthly mortgage payments so cant believe how i have managed it but just with signing up for this challenge gave me the incentive, my golden rule was always to pay minimum £20 payment per week and would do so religiously every Monday morning when i checked my balance. Mines is a small mortgage in comparison but every small payment helps 3/4/5 years down the line, i chose to overpay when i know some advised to put into a savings account or offset but i felt more regimented paying into the mortgage and have managed 20k in the time the interest rates have been low, anyway well done to all 2 more check ins and everyone doing so well£14, 500 to go0

August mortgage payments and transfers into the offset complete, plus final bills received for most of the work on the house so transfers out of the offset scheduled for this week. Good progress, the offset will dip by a further £15k, but still going to beat our MFiT-T2 target. So long as I stop spending!
Good luck everyone, on the last lap or so now!Mortgage Free thanks to ill-health retirement0 -
