    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hello all

Have been away from the lovely MSE site for about a month but good to be back.

World is changing fast..lots of worky things going on. Looks like I should get a really sizeable payment when I leave work but until it actually hits my bank account will refuse to really believe it;) and will ignore it. Idea is that when comes through will be set against the mortgage.

So baby steps this quarter (£664) but heres to the Q2! Off to update now FB

    Best of luck to all

  • Hi all,

Quick heads up - spending some time with son at present. Just jumped on PC for 2 minutes... :o

Just brought him back from his Saturday morning football and he wants to continue the Airfix we started last week together.

So, in terms of charts in case you're popping in looking for an update, I don't expect to have them completed until late afternoon at the earliest, although I'll get them completed as soon as I can!

FB - take your time, somethings are more important and can never be re-created. A photo of the airfix model (in progress or finished) would be good!

I am glad you spent time with your little one. They are babies for such a short time. Give it 10 years, and he won't want to be spending Saturday morning with you.
  • Thanks. Honestly, thanks for your patience everyone.

Kids are down and sleeping like, erm babies, got the PC to myself now and I'm just pulling together the last few figures in the temporary chart 05 which I'll copy over to the already published chart 05.

    Then I'll publish a chart 06 too...!

No use rambling here - back to google docs and I'll be back shortly :D

  • Ok, A bit later in the day than planned, but here's Chart 05:

Firstly, many thanks if you've taken the time to post an update via Google docs.

I've a few personal messages that I need to check through (either later this evening or in the morning), but other than that, that's the updates for Chart 05 published.

As per usual, please check your own entry and make sure you've been marked as placing an update.

We've had the usual hard core of MFW's who have supplied an update, but there's a few of the usual suspects who are absent.

As per usual, intending to keep the chart open until the end of the month, and I'll keep checking and add in any further updates that trickle through. If you can back calculate a previous balance for any of the previous charts and you missed an update, please supply a balance with a note in the update comments box that it's for a previous chart.

Think the only challenger who became mortgage free during this chart was Queen-Bee, although curlyGirl1971 is at 103.68% of her objective while not yet being mortgage free.

Don't worry if you're not in the green zone - I'm setting a less than shining example by being in the yellow zone myself.

Happy reading - off to start creating chart 06 - the half way though the challenge chart

  • Mortgage free roll of honour.
At the time of writing, there are currently four challenges who are now mortgage free.

Quite a few of you nearly mortgage free - here's hoping we can add more than the 3 challengers added in 2010 during 2011.
