I won't be updating until the 12th itself. I hope this is ok... I need to see for myself if my calculations are correct and I'm definitely into the £30k's for the 1st time instead of the £40k's! I OP'd an extra £50 to make sure but I don't know if I've got my maths correct! :o I've a feeling I'll be on Nationwide's website at a millisecond past midnight refreshing the screen to see it! :p

(Mind you it'll be only for 1 day before my interest tips be back over £40k again... :p Early April it should dip below 40k forever! :j)

I think I'll be just inside the green zone this time. Who know where I'll be for the June update - either OP'ing like mad as I have more job funding / new job or ~6 weeks from being made redundant. :(
    Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

I can't see anyone holding it against you if you are late. I just won't stop up late to see it. I'm sure you are trying your best and would rather it were late than you missed doing something else you needed to.

    Good morning everyone!

I have just made a final payment into an ISA for this tax year. We are saving in ISAs as well as our offset account in order to be able to pay off the mortgage by the magic date of 12/12/12, if we so choose!

Our outstanding balance after these savings have been taken off now stands at £27346.

Thank you all for your inspiration!

Just updated google docs - with balance of £169998 (I put in an extra £20 to get it out of the £170s)

I am still £1500 behind my target but as year 1 of challenge was spent clearing £10K 0% cc debt I cannot believe how well I am doing. DH is being frugal as well this year (he has suddenly realised we will be 67 before mortgage is cleared if we don't make an effort to overpay) & this is really helping as is the grocery challenge.
There may be a chance to increase my work hours for a year & DH & I have discussed how we would manage if I worked more (how he would have to undertake more household chores) we have agreed that I will apply for it & if I get it the extra money from this would be put into the mortgage rather than an expensive holiday.

Good luck to you all - I cannot wait to see how well every one is doing in the chart update.
