Loving your avatar too!
Yes, the kitchen is, and to be honest I think 7.2k is a really good price for what I got, considering I even paid to have the walls and ceiling painted rather than do myself
I was looking for a happy avatar and feel at peace with the world (mostly :rotfl:) so thought this was apt.Daisy_Duck wrote: »I'm waiting for my December payment to go through this week and then will update- think we will just about scrape in the green
Yay to everyone for completing Year One! :T
Oh, well done, green is a long way away for me at presentstarbucks reporting in. Updated using the google docs form. Balance now £14,900 which I am really chuffed at (just a bit more than Courgette so must be in good company !).
Merry Christmas to all and especially Financialbliss & Maz for running the challenge, much appreciated as it is helping keep me motivated towards the end goal.
Another under 20k (which I was for a few days on no.1 mortgage), what a great MF year 2011 is going to be

things have changed for me since last posting because i've decided to buy a place overseas by borrowing back from my mortgage - which has actually seen it increase to more than the start of the challenge (up to£135k rather than the £90k at the start of the challenge). i'm still keen to pay off as much as possible though over the remaining 2 years. not sure how i'll fill that in the boxes though. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0

Just sent my update through, we will still be in the red this month as we have only been making the 20% overpayments. We are debt free as of this month though so are starting to save from next month to make an overpayment at the end of the fixed rate. Hopefully we will be able to catch up over the remaining 2 years of the challenge.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0

We just updated via the google docs. Already, we are below our challenge goal. We are really pleased with this.
This challenge really helped us and all the support on this thread.
Thank you FB and MAZ for all your hard work.

Just updated. Only one overpayment this quarter as the extra has been used for decorating/new furniture costs. Normal service is now resumed and with a slight drop in our mortgage rate our overpayments will be slightly more. We're also thinking about reducing our term by another year, which will push to standard monthly payments up but longer term will reduce the interest paid. Our overpayments made monthly are also reducing the term as well so fingers crossed the mortgae is really reducing.

Just sent my final 2010 figures in the challenge, should be in green but some renovations next year may see me slow down, well done and proud of all my fellow MFi3-T3 ers .....:j
Thanks again FB & Maz for keeping our records for the challenge, it is most appreciated and keeps us all motivated!!!£14, 500 to go0 -
Hi there
Updated earlier this week using googledocs..will phone bank tomorrow for a precise figure but currently working off a figure of £204,400 to pay off. Huge figure and more than when we started the challenge..:o but we do have a camper van and some ISAs now which we didn't have before so well that's life. We just made some expensive life choices thats all;)
What this challenge has been amazing with though is getting me to still concentrate on making ad hoc payments of say £100 as well as my regular overpayment..wouldn't have done that otherwise..love seeing it come down!
And with 2 DDs..my goal is now that we should be MF before they may want
to go onto Higher Ed..can't see how they would afford it otherwise:eek:
Well done everyone and congratulations to everyone on our first anniversary:TMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal
