Floxxie - hugs to you. Ny husband did the same thing earlier this year and it completely threw me, but I am starting to get myself together again and I believe that I am a stronger person for it, and I truly hope you will be too xx
Hypno, I knew there was a reason why I finally subscribed to your diary last week
I have taken 'brief' legal advice and it seems that there may be a way to staying in the house, but unfortunately I would not be able to make any overpayments (I'm not sure how I would anyhow now )
Good luck with all your challenges and thank you for your support on mineMortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -

:D:D
I too have been able to keep the house - the mortgage and the equity were transferred into my sole name, so my priority now is to keep a roof over our heads and to prove that I can do this on my own. There are days when it is tough, days when it is downright miserable, but then there are days when I feel empowered and ready to take on the world :rotfl:
I did amend my MFiT target after he left, to take into account the fact that I am now only on one income, but I am very glad I stayed on the challenge for the focus that it gives me.

Number 35 sneaking in to report mortgage has reduced from £158,351 in Decemer to £154,981.33 for the quarterly update. So only a reduction of £3,369.67 - 20.6% of my target
FB - the above figures are based on my revised December start figure, rather than the one I gave you in June. Makes the percentages slightly easier to work out as I joined late! Target is still to reduce to £142,000
PS - sorry to hear about your husband, FloxxieDon't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
Well done on keeping ahead of the game Jock!
I was fortunate in that I got a company bonus at work (company doing well despite the recession) so put this in the mortgage.
We are off tomorrow on hols for a couple of weeks in the sun, cant wait!
Cheers,

All good news! I've got my review at work planned although my intention is to try to swap out any planned increase for additional holidays. My intention is that this will be my last employed job before I branch out and kick a few things off on my own so I'm happy to kick off the house build fund over the next 4-5 years. With a fair wind, I could yet get to semi-retired status by 35!!
Have a great holiday. Where are you off to?
Cheers,
