    Way to go folks...

Was just checking to see if there was any updates to process and I've just processed the update from chickadee (204), which did the deed.

So, regardless of if you've paid back £100, £1,000 or £10,000 - give yourselves a pat on the back as we have collectively just reduced our mortgages by:
    £1 million pounds.

Well done everyone (£1,006,868 actually :D) - keep those updates coming in.

    Financial Bliss / Maz123.

    :T:T:T Glad I could help!! :D

Never belonged to a millionaire's club before :j.

PS - not very posh, is it :rotfl:
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Neither have I! How exciting. I'm not a member of the Mile High club either......could anyone help with that one also? Well seeing as FB and Maz are in the habit of making the impossible come true.............. Hmm on second thoughts better not encourage Maz to take any trips - The Flexible Friend might make an appearance in duty free.

On to serious business. Just updated googledocs.

This period I have OP'd a total of £515 which wasn't quite as good as I hoped but a little better than I deserve, more than I originally targeted myself and so am still ahead of the game in anycase.

I'd started OP'ing before I joined this challenge but mostly in very very small amounts but this challenge has really spurred me on to try and do better. As a result my Mortgage balance is now £41952.36 when it would have been £45480 if I'd never OP'd. I've already knocked 19months off the life of the mortgage. Ding Dong.
  • £1 million is fab - well done everyone!

Just posted my update of £54510.79 which means I may be amber or fall into red. Busy three months with holiday and birthdays etc. Trying to get there, students arriving this week and endowment paying out in August or Sept so hopefully next update will be much better.

Keep going everyone - every little helps...

Blimey, I can't believe we've cleared 1 million, only 6 months in too! So does that mean we will manage to clear more than 6 million over the whole 3 years?

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hi all

Well done everyone. its looking great. Have just updated.

I and OH on the other hand am heading in wrong direction - due to a big expense..a campervan (which I have to admit is lovely:D and will get loads of use:) ) which went on the mortgage but we are still overpaying. On the upside we paid off the car loan and hope to do significant overpaying of the mortgage later this month if some work stuff pans out. After all we MFiT-2 folks are in for the long haul!

I did ponder trying to separate it all out and work it all out against the old target and then thought that was kidding myself - the figure in the update chart and on my new signature is what we owe and thats it! Maybe owning up to this is just one of the valuable lessons I have learned from MSE forums!! lets just see how close we can get to the target I set my family in December 2009!

    Cheers

wow that's amazing everyone, well done. I've made no more OP's due to the wedding but will update the spreadsheet in the morning as the mortgage only went out today. I'll be kicking in with vigour next spring, so I'm not out of it yet and hope to catch up
