I'm sorry, but I have made the decision to leave this challenge.
I have so far achieved what I wanted to, by saving £91 since the start from my Avon profit. If my husband was to match this, I would have achieved my target of £50 a month.
Unfortuately he's not in a position to do so and won't be in the near future, and I don't want to do it on my own. I will carry on saving and see where we go, but despite liking the idea of paying off some of the mortgage, without the support and determination being matched by husband, it's not going to happen!
Well done for all the hard work setting it up, and good luck to you all!

Hi
Posted totals yesterday on google docs
Started at £181869
Now at £180596
I have repaid 4.9% of target but always knew I wouldn't really kick into repayments until year 2 because of overrunning building work.
So actually feeling quite pleased as this has been achieved by the normal monthly repayments only.
I am thinking I really want balance to go down quickly now, so may take £1000 or so from savings to make me feel better about the mortgage balance. I will wait until the end of the first quarter & keep reading all of the fantastic balances you are all posting & then make a decision.

Looks like there are a fair few of us that are addicted. I have been in a few times today.
I just wish i could find a way to overpay that frequently.
loopy - in terms of thanks - i am using it to help me keep track of what i have read on MSE. i was getting fed up of reading something and then not getting back to it for a while and not being able to find my place again. Probably not what everyone does, but it helps me.0 -

Sadly, we have 'lost' 3 people already and we're not even at chart 01 yet
But, rather than just delete each leaver, I've crossed them out in the charts and post #1, such that at any point in the future, should they wish to re-join, they're more than welcome to do so.
