I've just looked at Ebay & their are several there that are not new today.0

Just heard on TV that £1.00 in every £8 spent in shops is at Tescos
There is a big campaign to stop them opening more shops as they seem to be taking over the UK.
If they can't open shops they may to rely on their home deliveries....0 -
Alanb wrote:Just one note on this topic, I notice the forum does not supply Sainsbury's codes at their request. It would be niave to think Tescos are not aware of this forum and could very easily ask Martin to put a ban on using the codes. So I'm with the others here, please use the codes (and others) sensibly or we'll all miss out.
Last year Pricedash.com were told to remove their listing of Tesco voucher codes.
They posted a page explaining why the codes were no longer available0 -
I think the initial poster is quite correct and indeed im already talking to tesco about codes at the moment as they approached me. As discussed previously the only codes that should be posted are those that are open to all

To be honest - it is VERY rare that a code is available for orders under £50/£75 so hopefully this situation concerning the publication of codes on here will be cleared up soon. I am sure Tesco is aware of the amount of business they would lose if they stopped these codes or became TOO heavy handed over there use. The OP was talking about (I think the £10 off no MOV code that was SERIOUSLY abused by people (not just on here) as I can't think of any reason people would have to order one or two things or place orders under £25 anyway as you couldn't use any codes for them.
Edit========================
Just reread the OP and and am completely confused by it - if I want to order only one small thing e.g. a birthday cake and have it delivered then why shouldn't I? You can't use codes for this small amount anyway and its my money - tesco make the same extra money from my order as anyone elses (the delivery charge)0 -
No its because some codes were available without a spend limit and some people were ordering 1 or 2 items and only having to pay £3 or something silly like that then coming on here really pleased with themselves telling everyone about it. It was obvious what was going to happen. They thought they were clever doing it but didn't consider the consequences of thier actions so now everyone suffersThanx

I think those particular codes had been given out because of problems with previous deliveries so wouldn't have been intended for general use anyway.
Martin - thanks for telling us about Tesco contacting you, a number of us (as SmartSaver originally posted) were getting worried about the system being abused. Most people use the codes sensibly and I hope Tesco realise this! It would be great if Tesco sent codes to people who actually buy from them regularly (I have never had a code sent to me other than in a wine club posting). Even if they did free delivery on orders over a certain amount that would help, but they seem to be unwilling to do that.

IMO if I wanted to order a single tin of beans and were willing to pay the delivery charge then thats my business. Tesco could easily implement a minimum spend if they wanted to.
Incidentally I have always spent between £50 - £150 on my online shopping and use a code for extra points or money off almost every time. I will do this until they introduce a system to stop it. I have spoken to Tesco Customer Services dozens of times whilst chasing missing points and they have NEVER said anything other than asking me once where I got my vouchers - to which I replied that it was in amailing sent to me (which it was!) They have clearly seen on screen how many vouchers I have used, so if it were not allowed I'm sure they have had every opportunity to let me know.
These vouchers will only work with a minimum order of either £50, £75 or £100 anyway. So I dont understand what the issue is about people placing small value orders.
It annoys me when people try to dictate the way other MSEers should behave. Surely we can all make our own decisions without being judged.
If I can make £40 to £60 in deals tokens to spend on furniture for my family in MFI by using these codes - then I will - end of story.0 -
I think some people are missunderstanding.
It isnt the fact that people shouldnt order small items for delivery and pay a delivery charge yes thats up to them thier business and if they want to pay for that then fine. No one is saying anything against that. There is no lowest limit for delivery at the moment in the rules with tesco.
It is when people have used codes to order small things on no minimum spend codes making the to pay cost virtually nothing. Thats what is wrong, tesco didn't mind giving codes out but when when people start abusing them like that its just plain greedy and taking the mickThanx

Exactly - just reread what I had written (well, it was early for a Sunday!) and realise it doesn't read too well. You've worded it much better!0
